went out to the cape fear river today, weather was pretty sweet, around 29°C and just a light breeze. i hit the water around 7 am, tossed some topwater lures and it was ON! caught 4 nice stripped bass, biggest was like 5 lbs. had a blast watching them hit the lure, total adrenaline rush. ended up losing one at the boat, but hey, that's fishing right? the water's so clear right now, it's just beautiful out there. packed some sandwiches too, so made a nice little lunch break on the bank. overall a great day on the water! can't wait to go back soon
