whittier Fishing Report 2025

Hello everyone, Today we spent the day Wahoo fishing. It was a pretty slow day, conditions were poor and the current was not happening in our favor. We scoured the grounds for only a few Wahoo and Dorado. There were a few Marlin mixed in as well. Defiantly not good enough to keep us here tomorrow. We are off to try for tuna tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Well so much for the great weather staying with us.

Today was rough and choppy. However, the wahoo fishing made up for it.

Fishing on the wahoo was fantastic. The tuna on the other hand were nonexistent. But man did we have a fun day. Dinner of course was fresh wahoo encrusted in macadamia nuts with a lemon butter sauce. Very moist and juicy. Saffron rice and mixed fresh veggies also adorned the plate. Great day, great fishing.

The water at the Coronado Islands has gotten cold and dirty. We have spent the last 2 days enjoying some excellent bottom fishing in 200-400 ft of water. We are keeping tabs on everything in our range. For all you bottom fishing lovers. Come out soon. Conditions are changing fast and as soon as we feel there is a good chance of consistently catching gamefish. The rockfish will go on the back burner again.

So far this year we have had absolutely phenomenal yellowtail fishing as well as a better chance than ever, in the history of Southern California to catch a bluefin over 200lbs! We are excited to announce we have multiple openings on trips that will be targeting these big grade of yellowtail, nice yellowfin and trophy size bluefin! The upcoming trips with openings are listed below: 4-day August 2 5-day August 6 5-day August 11 3-day August 2 We hope to see you guys out here soon and put you on some truly Supreme fishing this summer! The bluefin fishing has stayed consistent. Everyday we get a few legitimate chances to catch this beautiful grade of fish. Along with the bluefin tuna we have been seeing good sign of yellowfin tuna as well. We have yet to get them to bite but it’s any day now they could get with ! 

The San Diego checked in with us today. We finished with 10 Yellowfin, 23 Dorado, 12 Yellowtail  and 13 Skipjack. Choppy seas made things tough but we managed to scratch a day out. Hopeful for tomorrow.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in a few minutes ago with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. We have been fishing the Coronado Islands recently with light loads. Today we had very good fishing. We had 11 anglers catch 28 Yellowtail. The fishing offshore has been tough!
