Wheeler Lake Fishing Report

went back to wheeler lake, and the rain was crazy again! but hey, I’m used to it lol. caught a nice 7 lb largemouth right off the bat using a topwater frog. such a thrill! it was like a mini explosion in the water. stayed out till sunset, the best time to fish for sure.

ugh heavy rain today but still went out for a few hours. only caught 2 tiny bass, they weren't biting much. still had a blast just being out there 😅. gonna wait for better weather tho, at least i got to test my new rain gear!

cloudy but warm day at wheeler. the fish were kinda lazy but still managed to snag a few nice ones. 6 bass total, biggest around 4 lbs. was using a spinnerbait, just kept throwin it out there and waitin. had my buddy with me, he couldn’t believe how fishy the place was! awesome day.

hit wheeler lake again, really wasn’t expecting much with the cloudy skies but boy was I surprised! got two big pike, one was pushing 8 lbs! used a spinnerbait, really buzzing through the weeds. totally made my day! my buddy got a few smaller ones too, was an awesome outing.

finally got a break in the rain, went to wheeler. conditions were much better! caught a few nice perch, nothing huge but they were fun. used a bobber and nightcrawlers. water was nice and warm. more relaxed vibe today. thinking of doing a weekend camp out and fishing trip soon!
