Nice 2018 Guadalupe Yellowfin.

Today we went out with only 11 passengers. At the end of the day everybody on board had a full Mexican limit of rockfish. Our rockfish today were a nice mix of reds, salmon grouper, whitefish, sheephead and lingcod. The weather was absolutely perfect today.

Polaris Supreme Update 08-02-2012

 

Hi Anglers. I'd just like to start by thanking our Polaris Supreme passengers on the last trip. You did a fantastic job and the crew enjoyed fishing with all of you. Even you Byler. Congrats to Mr. Myles for taking first place in the jackpot with his 39 pound bluefin tuna. Also want to give a shout out to a Mr. Jack and Mark for staying close behind taking second and third places with a yellowfin and another bluefin. I better see all of you next year.

 

After doing our normal arrive depart chores of offloading fish and passengers, scrubbing the boat, fueling the boat, loading groceries and the new passengers we were off again.

We departed on Tom Chaparros 14th annual charter. This year he turned it into a 6 day. We got our bait and now we are underway. We will do the norm here this afternoon. A lot of rigging up tackle, napping, reading and just hanging out enjoying the day. We have high hopes in the offshore tuna grounds tomorrow so check back and I'm sure we will have a good report.

Choppy seas turned into a flat beautiful ocean. We think the fish liked it as much as we did. 76 yellowfin 75 skipjack for our 38 passengers.

Hello Everyone, Today we spent the day targeting the larger Tuna, Yellowtail, Wahoo, and Grouper. We were able to pick the 20-30 lb Yellowfin Tuna for most of the day. There was also some nicer Yellowtail caught on occasion as well. We caught a few Wahoo, but the volume was not around today like we wanted. We are headed up in hopes of big Yellowtail tomorrow. The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego,CA checked in with us today:

33 pass. 23 yellowtail 75 rockfish. Today we saw more yellowtail than we did on Sunday. Unfortunately we also saw acres of bait in the same zone. A couple of brief opportunities is all they would give up today. We will check back tomorrow.

                Hello everyone and welcome.  We are back in action.  I'm sorry we had to take some time off but the baby missed her daddy.  The Syd monster held up the whole operation.  After a week with me though she said "OK dad, you can go now".  You see, she understands dad has a mortgage to pay.  OK, enough of that.  We departed this evening for a quickie.  1.5 days.  We have bait.  We got quite a bit more than I thought we would out of our one box.  It's pretty much straight mackerel though.  There's some sardine but not a lot.  We'll see how they like them.  They are the bluefin.  We chose to hunt the blues.  They're such a nice grade of fish.  Better than the 5 pound yellowfin that's around.  Here we go again.

                                                                                                               

 

Just returned from guadelupe and had full limits of yellowfin tuna to 90# along with some absolutely beautiful guadelupe grade yellowtail from 35 to 44 #s. With good weather to boot.
