went out again on the 27th, but man it poured! was getting soaked but somehow pulled in a 4 lb bass. nothing like casting in the rain lol. used a popper on the top, just kept casting and it paid off. still had fun despite the weather!
had a great sunny day at wheatland on the 21st! caught 5 rainbow trout, all around 2 lbs each. I used a fly rod with some dry flies and it was awesome to watch them rise. such a good feeling! brought my buddy along too, he loved it.
I went fishing at the reservoir on the 20th, it was patchy rain all day. Only got 1 bite but ended up catching a nice 6 lb catfish! used a worm on the bottom, it was a fight for sure. loved the thrill, even with the bad weather.
back to wheatland on the 17th, another rainy day smh. only caught 2 fish but they were pretty nice, about 3 lbs each. was using jigs and they seemed to work well in the rain. a bit challenging, but you know how it is!
cloudy day at the res on the 16th, not much action but finally hooked a nice 4 lb bass! was using a crankbait, came out from under some weeds. felt good to catch even when it was kinda windy and chilly.
