fished outta westport today and man, what a day! the overcast skies kept it cool, avg temp was around 15.8°C. we hit the water super early, like before the sun came up around 5:15. trolled with some live bait and got a solid hit around 6:30. first tuna was about 90 lbs, fought like a champ! then caught another one around 80 lbs a bit later. was using my trusty Penn spinning reel and it never lets me down. wind was chill, only about 14 km/h, so not too rough. ended up keeping 2 tuna and releasing a couple smaller ones. can’t wait to grill these bad boys. overall, a great day on the water with good company!
