Captain Mike Pritchard called in with an update from the Tribute. We are on a 2.5 day trip and we are having fantastic Yellowfin Tuna fishing conditions. We have just over 200 on board so far. It is greasy calm and HOT! We are hunting for Bluefin Tuna now ...

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 10-01-2018

We had a great day of Wahoo fishing! We woke this morning to choppy weather.  After telling the passengers that Wahoo don't like rough weather, we proceeded to have our best day so far on Wahoo.  Tom who had been trying for 40 years to catch one caught two!  And then there was at the guys who have never got one before that also ended up with a couple. Whether looks like it is going to be nice tomorrow in the yellowtail grounds.

Rosemont Media private charter brought out 21 passengers and they “made them pay”. They landed limits of yellowfin before noon. We recommend having a rod to fish 30-50lb test when the tuna are eating everything in the water.

Nov. 10

                We're chalking up today as a travel day.  We started off fishing for yellowtails but it didn't work out too well.  The people who tried hard got a couple and some nice sheepshead but it wasn't good.  Choppy weather too so we started to slide down after a couple hours.  After that we looked at a couple spots for nothing.  We did the rest of our seminars, that being wahoo and big tuna, and mostly just headed down.  It doesn't look like we've seen the worst of this wind yet.  We're expecting the worst tomorrow till noon and then it starting to back off.  Hopefully it's workable and we can catch some wahoo tomorrow, but if not, we still need to travel down some to put us in position for the following couple of days.  I think these guys on here want a cow and we're going to give them some.  Or try our best at the very least.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in Mission Bay, CA.  We had 18 passengers today catch 12 Bluefin Tuna (60 to 80 pounds).   We landed 1/2 the fish we hooked today.  We also caught 3 Yellowtail.  We recommend the flat-fall jig with a two-speed reel loaded with spectra and a short 60 to 80 pound fluorocarbon leader.  You have also be prepared with a 25 to 35 pound live bat outfit for the kelps.

Hello and good morning! We will be pulling into the dock in a couple of hours off of our 3 day open group. The fishing was tough and you had to work hard to put a fish on board. This group was one of the hardest fishing and courteous toward each other group I have ever fished with. Good job Katrina and Guy's . We will be at the dock for 3 days before resuming our season. Here is a good look at one of today’s schools doing its best to look like a ball of bait. Our Evringham bros. sardines were too much for them to handle and the frenzy was on. 75 yellowtail. 25 calico bass. 23 Barracuda. Very good surface action.
