Again we have beautiful weather. Today we had our fishing tackle seminar and just kept traveling. Dinner was lobster and fillet, and some really exquisite sushi and sashimi for appetizers.

Hello everyone, Today was spent traveling up. A great ride to end a great trip filled with a variety of fish. We would like to thank Billy Stephens for putting together such a great charter! Longtime charter company Burgesons Heating and Air experienced a good stop on 18-30 lb yellowfin as well as good Skipjack fishing. Back to open party fishing tomorrow. Please bring a 20 lb rod and a 40 lb rod.

Fishing here remains slow. However the quality of fish is still great, and we are capitalizing on the fish we are hooking. Still some losses due to sharks but still chipping away at some great quality tuna. We were able to make a tank of Tube Mackerel tonight along with 3 milk crates of chunk. We are looking ready for tomorrow!

We now have the Apollo in beautiful Santa Barbara for the rest of the spring. We are running two Berkley sponsored limited load overnight trips to the Channel Islands. The first trip will depart on Thursday night April 19th at 9 pm to fish on Friday April 20th. The second trip will depart at 9 pm on Thursday night May 17th to fish Friday May 18th. These trips will target Quality Rockfish, ling cod with the chance for some early season halibut or sea bass. Please come join us on the Apollo in Santa Barbara for some fun spring time fishing. We started off the morning with a few strikes on sonar schools of yellowfin tuna. We thought we were on the right track but things soon slowed down to virtually nothing. A few of the guys were seeing schools up above us, big schools but weren't producing much more then we where. We went and check those out and it looks like there schools of bluefin with a little bit of yellowfin mixed in it of course the bluefin don't bite. We spent part of our morning looking at eight giant kelp patties for two bites on yellowtail which we lost. Right now it's about 2:10 we have 20 yellowfin on board and were wondering where in the heck they're all at. We have good weather and six more hours to look wish us luck.

Hi friends. Sorry about the lack of reports lately. We've been off the past couple of days as the weather put a delay in our final coat of gloss on the hull and with a break in the weather yesterday, the final coat was applied and it looks terrific. You can shave by looking at the boat and seeing yourself in the reflection. I'll send some photos when all the scaffolding is broken down and trucked away to show you some good shots at how good it looks. As for today, we proceeded back tour normal schedule of 0700 to 1600 hours and we're back to grinding and sanding. Our final major paint projects include the "bus stop", engine room hatch, bait tank and throwing new rock and painting the deck. With all hope, we should be back in the water sometime next week. Cross your fingers!

So that is all. Seeing that we've had the past couple of days off, we'll be working tomorrow to get everything set up to have the Strontium coat applied on monday to the bait tank, bus stop, and engine room access hatch. Hopefully, it won't be too long of day and we'll be able to arrive home in time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. We'll chat with you sometime in the next couple of days and enjoy your weekend.

Hello Everyone, Today we had a great day chasing the bigger Bluefin Tuna. We were able to land some great quality fish. Most came on the kite, but the one we landed on a fly line outfit bit 80lb with a great designer hook. Our landing ratio is great, we only need a few more of these quality Bluefin Tuna to make it so everyone has landed a fish over 120lbs. Hopefully we can get it done tomorrow.
