Santiam River Fishing Report

finally a sunny day! took advantage and hit the river this afternoon. caught 3 smallmouth bass, biggest about 2 lbs. used some soft plastic worms, they were hitting like crazy. perfect day out!

went out with my buddy on the santiam, overcast conditions. i lost a huge fish at the bank! used a spinner and thought i was gonna take the prize home. ended up with a smaller one tho, still fun!

so it rained a lil bit today but i was undeterred! caught 4 bass total on a crankbait, biggest was around 5lbs, fighting like a champ. really enjoying this river today, had it mostly to myself!

took my kayak out on the river, cloudy skies but no rain. hooked a nice rainbow trout, like 3 lbs? used a fly rod with a dry fly. thrilling experience out there, definitely need to go again.

man, it was drizzly today but guess what? caught a couple nice steelhead, one was 6lbs! used a float setup with some bait. fishing was super slow at first, but patience paid off. good day!
