Nice bluefin making for a great starter and finisher for our 6 day trips. Next one leaves August 23rd!

Wow, what a frustrating day. Great signs, many schools, but not one that wanted to bite real good. A couple of the boats did ok, so there are still some fish that wanted to bite. Just not the ones under us. On an up note, Jim landed one that is right on the fence at 199 lbs. Our weather is still beautiful, and Pedro is still putting out great food like the veal shank we had tonight. We are optimistic that our luck will change tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this afternoon to let us know that The Tribute is running an overnight trip departing tomorrow night. We will be fishing the Coronado Islands for Yellowtail. Today was a rigging day. We spent most of the day rolling down the line. During our travels we hit a patch of water that was incredibly blue and clean. In that stretch of water we managed to land one Dorado. A nice surprise. Aside from that it was a very leisure travel day. Tuna and Wahoo are in our sights for tomorrow.

Capt. Ray went out today with 22 passengers. Final fish count for the day is. 1 calico bass 2 sheephead 7 red rock cod. 90 whitefish 110 rockfish. Tomorrows trip looks to have a light load. On January 1st we will shut down for our annual maintenance period.

12 Bluefin and 21 Yellowtail for our Angler’s yesterday. Bluefin were a “legit” 40-65 pounds on average with plenty of them lost.

Hello everyone, 

Today we had a great start to our  4 day trip sponsored by Bob Sparre.

We have been busy with kelp patty yellowtail and bluefin ranging in size from 20-40 lbs! 

We have been keeping busy but we are still looking for the coveted all day “plunker bite”

Today we went out with 33 anglers and caught 54 yellowtail. The hot ticket today was a scrambled egg colored yo-yo lure. Make sure you bring fresh 40 or 50 lb mono on your yo-yo rod. The ocean was a little bumpy today but it is forecasted to get better. Overall conditions look very good in the area, don't miss out !
