Rough River Lake Fishing Report

so today was a bit cloudy but the fish were on fire! caught a handful of crappie on jigs. they were hitting pretty fast after sunrise. was a bit windy but just put up with it. my buddy got a couple nice ones too! feels great to be out fishing again.

WOOHOO! patchy rain but had an awesome day fishing! managed to pull in a pike, about 6 lbs. used a bright red crankbait and it worked wonders! with the wind kicking up, it was a little rough but totally worth it. love those adrenaline moments!

was out on the lake again, overcast and chilly. caught some bluegill using worms. not a huge haul but they were fun, especially when they hit the line! the clouds kinda made it peaceful out there, just me n the water. gear was a 6’ medium rod, perfect for those little fighters!

man, what a day! not the best conditions, felt like a winter day in May. rain and cold, but I managed to catch a few smallmouth bass! used a light tackle setup, kinda tricky with the wind but they were definitely biting! just a few, but felt good to be out there.

guess the rain didn’t scare off the fish! caught a nice bass over 4 lbs. went back to the same spot by the old tree. had to swap to my heavier rod since the rain made it hard to feel the bites but patience paid off. winds were chill tho
