overcast day on may 19, not ideal but still went to rogers. only managed to catch 1 walleye, kinda small but it felt like a win after a slow morning. used a jig and minnow. packed up early but hey, every trip is a good trip.
may 16 was a rough one, heavy rain and wind! but we still went out, caught 2 small pike, not a great haul but felt good to challenge the weather. used a crankbait, it was tough but worth the effort just to be on the water. i'll take the bad days with the good!
hit the lake on may 10, weather was so nice! caught 6 nice bluegills, biggest was like 9 inches or so. used some crickets and it was nonstop action. also saw some cool wildlife, an otter swam by, totally made my day. gotta love spring fishing!
finally some sunshine on may 5! had a blast at rogers, caught 5 bass, biggest was about 4 lbs! used a popper and they were smashing it! i also saw a family of ducks, which just made the day better. great vibes all around.
may 3 was kinda chilly and cloudy but we still hit the lake early. caught a couple of crappies, nothing huge but they were biting. used a bobber with minnows. even caught a nice sunfish, bright colors made the day a little brighter haha.
