went out for a quick afternoon session on the 24th, patchy rain but still had fun. caught a few small bass, nothing to brag about. just nice to get outside, you know? used my spinning rod with some soft plastics. next time I’m bringin’ my son, he’ll love it!
the trip on the 19th was insane! more heavy rain and wind but we got into some serious channel catfish, like 10 of 'em! biggest was 8 lbs. used stink bait, which always works for us. soaked to the bone but you know what? nothing beats the thrill of the catch!
hit the lake on the 16th, heavy rain but that didn't stop us! limited out on crappies, all around 10-15 inches. used a black/chartreuse combo jig, seemed to be a good call. the wind was wild too, but it made for some good stories later at the bar!
fished on the 10th and it was kinda drizzly, tried my luck near the docks. not much action but got a few bites, lost a decent one near the boat. really need to sharpen my hooks or something haha. gonna try again soon, maybe take a buddy next time.
man, what a day on the 9th! so yeah, it rained on and off but we managed to get some bites. caught a few bass on a spinnerbait, nothing huge but fun! the wind was pretty gnarly at times too. keeeps ya on your toes! went home soaked but it was a blast!
