Tuna fishing was good again today with nice quality tuna. We took off mid-day to hunt for some dorado and wahoo on kelps in the afternoon, but no luck. We will be on the Ridge tomorrow to sweep for wahoo. Our lunch today was an outstanding fresh tuna fillet with avocado, lettuce, tomato and wasabi sauce. We will update again tomorrow. Good evening, friends. Awesome day out here on the Supreme. No need to get too wordy about things today, we had a super day. Well, it was more like a super 5-hour drift on 40-60 lb. Bluefin and the rest of the day was spent enjoying beautiful weather. All in all, I consider today to be just terrific and I gave Drew's mustache a high five to show my approval. Y'all should too.

From 10:00 hours until 15:00 hours, we plunked away at that stellar grade of fish and when the dust settled, we had just shy of 100 of those beauties all while enjoying a bronze in flat calm weather. You can't beat that, you can't! It was some of the better action on BFT in recent years and we had some real flurries with at least 10 fish hanging at one time. It was very nice! Everybody had a shot at a few of those bruisers and we're pumped about or day.

We didn't really have time to take a lot of photos because we were so busy. Sorry, Riddler but know that the BFT look exactly like the ones from prior trips and they are chillin' super fresh in the RSW well. Sometimes, you've just got to make a drop.

Anyhow, we're going to do this for one more day and then see about heading to one of our favorite Yellowtail spots on Thursday. Things are really looking up right now and the Yellowtail grounds are no different. Really good fishing on some 'tails right now and we're looking at that with mouths agape. But, we still have some business to attend to with my favorite fish in the ocean, the Bluefin tuna.

Capt Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute on Day 2 of a Friends of Rollo/Wicked Tuna Trip, today we found a nice grade of Yellowtail, we caught 24 from 12 to 25 pounds and we got some nice grade Bluefin Tuna this morning. We departed today on Bob Vance's annual five day. After we picked up a cruddy load of bait we dined on a delicious pork tenderloin for lunch and headed for the albacore grounds. This is a great group of anglers. Many have been on this trip with Bob for years. We are really looking forward to some good fishing. Weather is still good. Wish us luck.

ood evening everyone, Today we started in search of Yellowfin Tuna. It seemed that the past days have been a grind for those who have committed to this area. So we woke up today ready to grind. Fortunately we found a school early that wanted to play. So with the ball in our court we were really to put the wood to these school sized fish that were eagerly pouring aboard Polaris Supreme. Absolute chaos to start the day, a perfect way to follow two days of premium yellowtail fishing. We kept at it, getting good scores on these tuna to join the yellows that were chilling in our frigid holds. Eventually we did have to point the boat towards home and call it a trip, but what a way to end! I would like to thank Ron for putting together this charter and everyone for joining us and putting the screws to these fish when it counted! We will be in San Diego tomorrow dark and early at 5:30 to offload the bounty and come out for another. Until next time, Team Supreme

Friday 2-day trip July 6

Good Morning Anglers!

I've been keeping in touch with Art on the Searcher the last three days. He's been fishing bluefin at 160 miles on his four day trip with great success! Sunday with over 100 bluefin. Monday he had 55 bluefin. That day another boat fished with him traveling down and got 80 bluefin. This morning at 8:00 the Searcher already had 15 bluefin.

The grade of this fish is 20-30 lbs. and occasionally somebody gets on the 90 lb. grade. So don't forget a 50lb. 2-speed reel for that class.

We offer free loaner gear if you need it. Their weather has been good.

The weather forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday is 5-10 knots. You can follow the weather on Passageweather.com. Also a big bonus on Saturday will be our Sportfishing Association spotter plane to put us on kelps and schools of bluefin. The *POLARIS SUPREME* two day trip departing this Friday at 1pm in the afternoon is set up to target this fish at that distance. We will be able to fish Saturday from the crack, 5am till dark, 8pm. Thus having a full day in this area and returning at 11am on Sunday.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-14-2016 Our morning has started off fantastic we are having great yellowtail fishing a lot of yo-yo iron fish dropper loop fishing but not on the bottom 90 feet down and of course fly line fishing is working pretty good it's only 9:30 and we got a heck of a start on the day. Hopefully this will keep up it looks like the upper yellowfin tuna area in Mexico is really developing into something that may be in the game plan for us in the future.
