Hello everyone how about a little recap of our seven day AHI Charter. We spent two days traveling down to the hot Wahoo grounds in absolutely beautiful flat, whether enjoying the company of all of our good friends old and new! From there proceeded to have some of the most awesome Wahoo fishing for the next three days with a few hundred football yellowfin tuna and a handful of quality Dorado thrown in. The next day we spent scrounging around for a shot at giving everybody a chance to catch a yellowtail. And here we are today traveling up and doing what we always do on the last day hanging out telling stories taking naps and oh yeah we have Wi-Fi so burning up megabytes on Mexicans tell cell. We will be into the dock tomorrow morning and unload our beautiful catch. If you got a chance swing by the landing at daylight and take a peek. Thank you charter master Dallas Lamb and Vance Willer for putting together a great group of guys and a super fun experience for everyone. The Polaris supreme will be at the dock until November 6 doing boat work and then we will depart on our limited load 10 day trip with Jim Holman and the boys! We still have room for four or anglers if you would like to join us November 6 for some of the most impressive Wahoo fishing we have ever seen in the fall. Five days into the Castillo six-day trip. There's been great signs of yellowfin tuna in the 18 to 22 pound range and bluefin tuna from 18 to 75 pounds. We've done okay at scratching at all species yesterday was our best day so far. We been having trouble updating our website due to computer issues and we been really really busy! Here's a few photos of what we been up to! Signs are good out here and if you get the right school in the morning you can end up drifting all day. The yellowfin tuna are biting mostly lighter line 20 and 25 pound test has been the best. They really love those Colt snipers or any thing like them. Guys using those are smoking them. This bluefin has been biting into the night on the flat falls and live bait sinker rig. Alec you need to go have Vernon pick up two cases of squid for night time tuna fishing. Also make sure they all have some of those Colt snipers and a good 20 or 25 pound rig for the long drifts. Busy busy busy got to go.

Hi friends. Short report for this evening as our weather is snotty and we don't have enough tie-down straps to strap my feet to the floor and my fingers to the keyboard. A helmet wouldn't be a bad idea either but we don't have one. Anyhow, offshore prospecting today was OK. We had a few jig strikes on Yellowfin and Dorado and managed a couple stops that produced some bait-fish late in the day but that was about it. Windy conditions made for a bumpy ride all day and made for difficult glassing conditions to try and locate kelps, breezers, and breaking fish. The weather is forecasted to continue to be windy but is supposed to come down for the start of our fishing day tomorrow. We'll be finishing up our trip by fishing all day Thursday and a partial day Friday at the Bluefin/Yellowfin grounds. Scores remain decent to very good and we're hoping to top off our hodge-podge of fish already in the RSW wells with some more Bluefin and Yellowfin. We'll be in the area at first light tomorrow.

The San Diego has finished their three quarter day trip on Monday with 2 Bluefin Tuna (30-40lbs) and 5 Yellowfin Tuna.
The San Diego will be fishing OFFSHORE through FRIDAY 6/17. These trips are limited to 45 people and reservations are required! Recommended tackle for these trips is a MINIMUM of 50# monofilament for the big Bluefin! Live bait and poppers have been working well.
The El Gato Dos returned from a 3/4 day trip on Sunday with 1 Bluefin Tuna (124lbs) and 1 Yellowfin Tuna.

Hi friends. Big, beautiful 25-45 lb. yellowfin with a few handfuls of those beastly bluefin is what was on our plate today. We had a couple of good drifts in fantastic weather that made our day just dandy. Everybody is really amazed by this quality grade of yellowfin and I'm personally amazed that crewmember Mark doesn't have his own television show. Networks are missing out on what a goldmine following Mark around with a camera would be, 24/7. Some people might think that they're paying a healthy sum of money to come out fishing on a long range boat but I look at it like, people are paying a lot of money to come spend a few days with Mark Clark.
Anyhow, here is a short recap of our day: good morning (0545 hours), good breakfast (French toast, sausage, and eggs), good trolling rotations, good fishing, good weather, good sunshine, good lunch (chili), good fishing, good afternoon snacks, good galley assistant/chef-in-training (Shawn), good friends, good times, good dinner (roasted turkey with all the goods), good showers, good squid making, good night. It's alllllllllllll good. We allllllll bundle.We'll chat with you tomorrow.

Hello friends and a very happy Sunday to all of you back on the beach. We departed Fisherman's Landing around 14:00 hours today on the Joe Beck/Mal Wagstaff 6-day adventure with plenty of familiar faces and a few new ones to spice things up. Our stop at the bait receiver went a little bit better today and although it's not the best bait we've ever seen, it's a lot better than what we loaded up on Tuesday. At this point, we'll take it and we'll be keeping a close eye on their well-being throughout the night.
Other than that, we've been enjoying a nice ride out to the Bluefin grounds and our activities have been pretty standard for a departure day. Rigging tackle, napping, eating, seminars, and catching up with old friends and new ones alike. Chefs Schooler and Shawn just finished up the dinner serving of prime rib, baked potatoes, peas, and sorbet for dessert.With that being said, we're going to cash in for the evening and get ready for tomorrows fishing adventure to begin.
We'll be in the upper end of the Bluefin zone around mid-morning and the scores for the boats in the area were decent. It sounds like that 50-70 lb. BFT was biting a little bit and a few schools of 25-40 lb. fish were around too, so we'll see if we can't get ourselves some of that.
Not too much to report today but hopefully tomorrow is a different story. We'll be at it tomorrow morning and we'll report back to you tomorrow evening. Take care everyone and wish us lots of luck.

The Tribute out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA checked in with us today.
Very good fishing today on a variety of species, 104 yellowtail, 115 skipjack, 9 yellowfin, and 7 Dorado for our 23 anglers. Looking light throughout next week, book a spot and get in on this fun fall fishing! Little hectic today couldn't get many pictures, but got one good shot of a decent sized Dorado.
