pittsburgh Fishing Report 2025

Hi Anglers,

Drew and the guys got in this morning off of Garth Kubeldis's Optima 1-1/2 day charter. They had a great catch for only 16 anglers fishing at 150 miles. The total was 39 bluefin, average weight being 29 lbs., 3 yellowfin, one being the jackpot fish at 35 lbs., and 11 yellowtail.

The POLARIS SUPREME is on line for an open party 2-day trip leaving Wednesday to target the bluefin again. At 10:00 am this morning one boat had just reached over 50 fish in the same area Drew was in and the rest of the fleet was heading that way. Hello everyone, Yesterday we departed on our Billy Stephens 7 day trip. This trip grew from a five day to a seven day. We are excited to be able to take this charter to a new neck of the woods and try for some new species that would not normally be possible on a five day. Today was mainly a travel day and was spent assembling our Wahoo rigs and leaders. An all day task that will hopefully pay off with some alligator sized Wahoo tomorrow. We will be fishing tomorrow, wish us luck. Team Supreme

27 pass. 3 bluefin tuna at 135 lbs, 132 lbs and 80 lbs. 2 yellowtail. Had a couple shots at trophy’s. Sinker rigs on 50 lb with a 6 oz torpedo and 150-250 gram Flatfalls on 50 or 60 lb was the best today. A 40 lb flyline outfit is also recommended. Two speed reels that are at least a 12 size will increase your chances drastically. Seaforth Sportfishing has two speed reels for rent.

We ran up and fished a few spots around Cedros to finish the trip off. We found a school of those jumbos around 3:00 and it kept us busy until the beautiful sunset and moon rise. The biggest fish went 45 pounds. We're headed for the barn now in as flat of a sea as is possible. We arrive/depart on Saturday leaving smoky San Diego on another ten day.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-21-2019 Good start on the trip today. Good weather all day long and scratched away at the tuna and had a good day on the Wahoo. We didn't get any pictures of the tuna but here's a few Wahoo pictures for the day. The guys are all doing well and having a great time. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

    And we're off on another 5 day trip.  Things didn't go so hot at the bait receivers.  The bait we got was healthy, we just weren't allowed to take a full load.  We were shorted 75 scoops or so.  Anyways, we looked for fishies this afternoon.  We saw some small spots of yellowfin right out of the gates that wouldn't bite, and then didn't see anything until almost dark.  A sonar ball of yellowfin produced three fish so we got jackpot handled already. 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  We're going to slide down a little tonight and look in an area that produced some pretty darn good yellowfin fishing today.  The weather is magnificent.
                            

 

Hey sports fans the voyager is running a 1 day mexico coast trip fishing pescadaro, salsipuedes, mezqiute and surrounding areas! It has been fun bass fishing this year so far down there!! Captain Mike Pritchard called in tonight with an update. We finished our trip with 26 Bluefin Tuna, 91 Yellowtail and 2 Dorado. There were some better scores on the Bluefin Tuna if you were in the right spot. So things are looking good out here. We have a trip leaving tomorrow night.
