pecos river Fishing Report 2024

Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight to report 100 Yellowtail today at the Coronado Islands. The fishing was pretty good then we had 30 fish on one stop. We are running trips daily to the Coronado Islands. Call Seaforth Sportifishing at (619) 224-3383 or BOOK ONLINE at www.thesandiego.com.

We were on bluefin and yellowfin all day but they were difficult to hook. 8 bluefin tuna from 25-80 lbs and 2 yellowfin. Most of our fish were hooked on flylined sardines on 30 or 40 lb.

We have a Berkley sponsored open charter this Friday. This will be the first trip after Ling cod opens. There will be give away packs for everyone. Hello Everyone Today we got to wet our lines for the first time in a few days. It was tough fishing but we did manage to scratch up some very good grade Wahoo and a few good Yellowtail. The size may be right but the numbers are not cutting the mustard. We are headed to a new area tonight in search of better numbers tomorrow. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Ryan Bostian called in with the final talley on the San Diego's fishing, "The San Diego ended up with 19 Yellowtail, 23 passengers caught 19 Yellowtail. It has been a very high casualty rate on these fish, for whatever reason. Mainly due to the size of them and where they are located. They're in shallow water and a lot of them are extra large. So we've been losing our fair share of them but the guys had a good day today with 19 of them.

We are still catching tuna steady here at Guadalupe Island. Mainly in the 60-80 LB range! Beautiful grade!

 Good evening everyone!  This here is just a teaser.  We're out for a  couple days and then we're dockside for a little.  You won't be reading steady emails for another week and a half or so.  I'm going to keep this short until then.  I'll explain all about our new electronics and things later when we have them more figured out.  For example I'd like to figure out how writing these reports can be more comfortable.  Nevermind I just figured it out.  This keyboard is cordless.  So how does it charge?  Good example there.  I wonder if I  can write this in bed?  Anyhow, we fished some today.  We got in the  zone around 5 and it wasn't boring.  We were pretty much always running on something until 7:30. There wasn't much meat to it though. 
 Just few fish spots mostly.  We have a yellowfin to show for it.  First tuna of the year!
We'll be in this zone tomorrow.  Give it all day and see how it goes.  We'll cover more ground tomorrow with 12 more hours to fish that's for sure.  I'll write much more later I promise.  I"m still figuring this computer out.
