man, it poured today! but I still went out. didn't expect much but ended up with a few nice catfish, like 4 to 6 lbs each. bottom fishing with stink bait did the trick! soaked to the bone but who cares, that was some solid fishing!
so i fished at paint creek again today, and the weather was all over the place. a little bit of rain and wind but totally fine! caught some really nice trout using a fly rod. the thrill of the catch was worth the chilly temp! love it here!
the rain was relentless today at paint creek. didn't catch as much as i hoped, but landed 2 decent bass. used a spinnerbait, even with the bad weather, they were lurking. when the rain let up a bit, saw some nice surface action!
what a rainy day! but ya know, that's when the fish seem to bite best. caught a bunch of perch today, all on small minnows. got soaked but it felt amazing when the fish were biting like crazy! i'm def coming back here when it rains again.
spent the day at paint creek. overcast skies but surprisingly calm. hooked into a nice 5lb largemouth on a Texas rigged worm. felt great! only fished for a few hours but it was just nice being out there. just me, my rod, and the quiet of the lake.
