Captain Ryan Bostian checked in with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing out of Mission Bay, CA. We are still trophy fishing! We caught a 132 pound Bluefin Tuna. We had 9 Bluefin Tuna (one at 132, a 101, 7 of them at 75 pounds). We had two over 100 pounds that pulled the hook at color.
Short topshot and flurocarbon is not working. Please have 100 to 200 feet of mono topshot.

Good evening all and welcome back once again to the Polaris Supreme. Well we're in November now and with that comes a true fall 10 day trip. We took some time off if you didn't notice. We spent 2 weeks dockside with just a little bit of boat work to do so we had some time to ourselves. I didn't follow what the other crew did too much. I was to busy with a 7 month old which by the way is getting better and better and I didn't think it could. She's hard to leave but fishing calls.
So we're off and running. We got a full load of should be good bait and we're headed to destinations undecided at the moment. One thing we know is we'll be in full travel mode tomorrow so we'll have a relaxing day of tackle rigging and seminars. The fishing sounds pretty fair at the moment. Plenty of action on smaller grade of 10-30 pound fish in areas. There is also some wahoo to catch if your timing is good. There hasn't been sign of any big tuna in about a week now but we may be able to blame windy conditions and a very bright moon on that. Right now things are changing and for us, we hope that's a good thing.
One last thing. It's Movember and I am sporting a very creepy stache right now. It's a 2 week stache and it's just not long enough to look cool yet. But I guess it's a good cause. My hero's on the LA Clippers think so anyways. I'll check back tomorrow but I dought(spell check tells me that dought is spelled wrong. Facebook the right way please} I'll have much to report it being a travel day and all.

Drew Henderson docked Polaris Supreme June 11 after a three-day trip. He fished offshore kelp paddies to find a good catch of small yellowtail, a bluefin tuna and an albacore.
Dale Goss of Lakewood got the bluefin and first place, as his tuna weighed 31 pounds. He enticed it with a sardine on a 2/0 Hayabusa hook. He fished with 30-pound Big Game line, a Daiwa H 40 reel and a seven-foot Sabre rod.
Manvel Miuasyan of Van Nuys was second, for a 21-pound yellowtail, and Scott Tucker of Riverside was third, for a 17-pound yellow. Josh Evans of San Francisco got the albie. He trolled a cedar plug in natural wood color to land his longfin.

Not much to report today. We looked at a lot of water for not much. We found one jumbo school of tuna but it wouldn't bite. After sitting on it for over an hour watching them boil around the boat, everyone lost interest so we continued our hunt. A couple handfuls of dorado and one nice tuna later we decided to give it another chance. It's just to good to pass these beautiful grade fish up when they want to chew like yesterday.

It's been windy off southern Baja for a week or so, and it also blew a couple of days out at the Hurricane Bank. When Polaris Supreme skipper Drew Henderson looked out his wheelhouse window one day, he said it looked like Christmas, he could see so much white out there.
At Fisherman's Landing December 4, Henderson weighed the catch for his ten-day anglers. There were tuna, wahoo, and dorado in good numbers.
Bert Carlson of Long beach won first place for an 84.9-pound yellowfin, after the fish made a mistake with his sardine on a 5/0 Owner Offshore hook. He said he used 50-pound fluorocarbon leader and 65-pound hollow Jerry Brown Spectra on a Penn 20 T reel and a six and a half-foot Kencor rod.
Chris Mohs of Ventura was second, for an 80-pound tuna, and Todd Cameron of Long Beach took third place for a 78.8-pound tuna. He also caught a tuna with an archival tag in it, which will bring him a $500 fee for the tag's return.

Good evening everyone,
Today we did some inshore fishing. Conditions were not favorable, not a lot of current left the fish very unwilling. However were able to scratch together a day of nice rockfish, Sheepshead, and a variety of other fish. Including the inshore trifectra: Yellowtail, Halibut, and White Seabass!
A nice day to get out of the weather!
We are headed back down to try for big bluefin tomorrow!
Wish us luck,
Team Supreme
