Otter Creek Reservoir Fishing Report

went again on may 28, still cloudy but warmer. used crankbaits and actually got a decent 4lb bass! there were a few other boats out too but not many people were catching much. felt good to finally land something nice! can’t wait for another trip.

fishing on may 27 was fun! partly cloudy, caught 2 decent walleye while jigging. the bite was steady till about noon and then it slowed down. had a few missed hits which was frustrating but overall a chill day on the water with friends.

was out on may 26, overcast day but fish were biting! managed to reel in 4 nice trout, they were hungry for my nightcrawlers. super gusty winds at times made it tricky, but no complaints. even caught a doubleheader! best day I’ve had at otter creek in a while.

finally got a sunny day to fish on may 20! brought my new rod and it performed great. caught a solid 3lb bass on a topwater frog. felt amazing to see it hit! the wind picked up later but it was still great to be out there soaking it all in. can’t wait to go back.

man, may 19 was a bust. it was cloudy and windy as hell! thought i’d have better luck but only caught a tiny trout in the morning. we tried all sorts of lures but they weren’t hungry today. oh well, you win some you lose some.
