May 8, 2025 north padre island Fishing Report

Sunday night we spent the day targeting trophy bluefin with tall of the boys from fish 101 restaurant. We had some very good opportunities through out the day. Landing 12 fish biggest was right at 300lbs then closely followed by a beautiful 275lber and the rest where in the 60-80 lb range. 

Today we fished yellowfin tuna. Fishing was good, when the dust settled we had 113 fish in the hole all being 12-18 pound fish. We did also see a couple nice schools of bluefin but didn’t not hook any unfortunately. Back out tonight !

160 yellowfin 37 skipjack. Some weather forecasted for tomorrow. Back at it again on Thursday.

211 yellowfin 2 bluefin out of one 5 mile drift. Hook size is crucial in getting bites. Match the hook size to your line size and bait. Check with the crew on the way out to make sure what you’re tying on is what we recommend.

Fishing was a little tough off shore today. There was yellowfin for everyone and we got a few dorado on kelp, but not the big hits like we have been getting. Fished the island with very little signs and only a handful of yellowtail. Tomorrow we will be looking around the island. Weather is decent, and looks like it will be getting better tomorrow. Well if we thought yesterday was phenomenal, today was even better. I know I'm repeating myself but the fishing was just great again on the wahoo and dorado. And yes the marlin are still here and wanted to play. We have good weather and this is a nice way to end the trip. Great group, great fishing, great crew.

Schools of bluefin where a little harder to come by yesterday fortunately we still where able to put together a day. 85 yellowtail 6-15 pounds 6 dorado and 3 bluefin.

May 1, 2025 north padre island Fishing Report

Today we were able to try our hand at Yellowtail. Fishing was far from easy.The Yellows ranged in size with some waves of fish being 8-12 lbs and other groups coming through in the 20 to 30 lb range. We did manage to set most of the smaller ones free and tag the bigger ones. Exciting day, but had to work for the larger fish. Will report tomorrow, Team Supreme
