Another fantastic day out here for us. We had a great nights sleep. The boat just gently rocked us to sleep just like a baby. We tried for a gray bite but only caught one. It didn't take long looking for a school before we found one. We short stopped 15 yellowfin and then it didn't take long to find another deal and that one was good for a 2 hour drift. When that dried up it didn't take long to find another one and that one was good for a 2 1/2 hour drift. After that it was lunch time and we're pretty much done with the yellowfin. We spent the last half of the day looking for bluefin unsuccessfully. We're going to head for some new grounds. And by that I mean some water I can't remember ever fishing in. We have reports of some bluefin schools so we're going to check it out. We'll be there first thing. I'll let you know.
The weather today got interesting. It stayed pretty much windless through out the day so it remained similar to a lake, but around 9:00 in the AM it started dumping rain on us. And I mean dumping. Everyone on board scrambled for there rain gear. I got to try out my new Aftco raincoat and it worked great. During the down pour the lightning that was around got pretty darn close so I had everyone go indoors to wait it out. It didn't take long to pass and we continued fishing and catching. After that it stayed dry the rest of the day. The boat got a nice fresh water rinse.

When we go offshore on these trips we are basically looking for 1 good school. 1 good bluefin school if it’s in the right mode will stick with the boat all day and provide plenty of action. With that being said, today we saw 4 nice schools but only managed to land 1 tuna.

Good evening. We spent our morning getting the Supreme and her passengers out of the weather for a bit, attempting to locate some coastal species for a morning while we gave the offshore scene a rest. We didn't quite connect like we were hoping but we did manage to catch a few yellowtail for our efforts, so all was not for lost. We made the decision to get back offshore and see what was going on and what was going on was scattered jig strikes on yellowfin tuna with some bait stops to go along with it. There is still some good hits to be had out here on both bluefin and yellowfin but we just didn't locate the right batch of fish. For tomorrow, we'll be fishing a little bit closer to home as we'll give it a try for a few hours and then have to book it for home. Wish us luck and sorry for the short report, the weather traveling up isn't the best conditions for typing but it's still okay to traveling. It could be a lot worse but we don't want that. Hi friends. Well, the morning bait/Yellowtail bite didn't quite pan out this morning so we decided to get our butts offshore and try to connect with some open water species. We managed to find a bunch of kelps and we had some action on some Yellowtails that way but we never located a school of Bluefin that wanted to bite. We did see a few schools of BFT as did the other boats in the area but they were reluctant to bite for any of us. Hopefully, tomorrow is a new day and these things will get with the program.
We'll be giving this a half a day or so tomorrow to see if we can't do some damage on the BFT tomorrow before we have to book it for home. Our weather was absolutely flat calm all day with a heavy overcast but the sea and wind conditions were stellar. We've got a little rain washing the boat as of right now (23:42 hours) and a few brave souls are downstairs trying for some squid. I'd better go see what they're up to.

16 good grade bluefin tuna. We swung and missed at the yellowfin. Our bluefin were very challenging to hook. Please bring a 20 lb rod and a 30 lb rod
