took a trip to mackay with the fam as the clouds rolled in. ended up catchin a couple of nice bass, around 3 lbs each. used my favorite crankbait and boy did they love it. even the kids got a kick outta reeling them in! can’t wait to go back.
woke up to a misty mornin at mackay, kinda eerie but cool. caught two small rainbows on a bobber and worm setup, was a slow start but relaxing for sure. the mist lifted and the sun started to peek out, made it worth the early wake-up! love this place!
sunny day out at mackay, finally! got there early n landed 5 nice browns, all about 2 lbs. used my trusty green tube jigs, they were hittin hard! even had time for a lil nap on the shore, couldn’t ask for a better day honestly. good times!
ugh, what a rough day! heavy rain at mackay reservoir and wind was howling! didn’t catch a single thing. just sat there in the boat gettin soaked. but ya know, sometimes it’s about the experience. just glad to be out, even if it was a bust!
man, today was super overcast, didn’t expect much but boy was i surprised! got 4 nice cutthroats, all about 2 lbs each. tossed some spinners around, the wind picked up but didn’t scare the fish away! made for a fun outing, drove out with the buddies and we had a blast!
