Captain Mike Pritchard called in this afternoon with an update from the Tribute. We are having very good Yellowfin Tuna just South of San Clemente Island. There is a mix of Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack, and Dorado. We have 180 Yellowfin Tuna and they are biting on everything. Out with a light load last night so, Captain Shane decided to go fish for Big Bluefin. As of 5 pm, they had 12 Bluefin on board, most 80-140 pounds, 2 at 180 and a 315! Pictured below is regular Shane wrightson with a limit of Bluefin, one at 180 pounds and one at 315. Captain Shane can catch fish, but may need to work on his picture taking

39 yellowfin 69 skipjack. If we get into a hot and heavy stop it is important to work together as a team. The crew and captain are the coaches, the passengers are the players. Communicate with each other. Anticipate that you will be moving around the boat, whether you have a fish on or not. Be aware that you are not the only person on the boat. Listen to the crew. And most importantly have fun. Team work makes the dream work.

Hello Everyone, Today we had a nice day fishing Bluefin and Yellowtail. The Tuna were very nice grade 20-40lbs, and the Yellows were solid 20lbs as well. We are looking forward to trying this area again tomorrow. Will report then, Team Supreme

Seems the Yellowtail are in spawn mode. We found multiple kelps with enough Yellows on them for limits for this boat and another, if they would have wanted to bite! IF! We managed to find an area with schools of Bluefin that were not very user friendly, lost one. One Yellowtail fell for a live sardine and that was our day. Some days luck is on your side, other days it's just not. But that's fishin for ya. 

13 bluefin tuna from 40 to 80 lbs and 2 yellowtail. Come prepared with a 25 lb setup for kelp fish and smaller tuna. A 40 or 50 lb setup for flylining sardines at the 60-80 lb tuna and a 60 or 80 lb setup for flatfalling. Fluorocarbon is a must as well as size 1 to 2/0 circle hooks. Come take advantage of this rare opportunity to catch a true trophy fish in local waters without trolling.

Hello there Polaris Supreme fans,
                                             Today was another travel day for us, this morning we had or seminar on fishing for giant YFT.  The crew went over fly lining, big bait , jig fishing, sinker rig, and kite fishing. We also handed out all the loaner gear and the guys started rigging up. Around 1600 we made a drive by the Rocks and found two 25 lb YFT willing to bite the jigs now we have fresh tuna for tomorrow nights dinner! Speaking of dinner its about time for me to go get ready for dinner so until tomorrow tight lines!!
