July 16
Arrive depart day today.  We did the whole routine, I hung out with my baby for an hour and it was time to set sail again.  We left on another 5 day with my buddy Archie and his gang and a few other regulars.  We did well at the bait receivers.  We loaded up on small sardine and left the bay and headed out to do some fishing in the afternoon.  We didn't do much.  A couple of yellowfin is all we caught.  We did see a couple of big schools of 50-80 pound tuna that didn't care we were there at all.  No bites.  We're eating prime rib and heading down in nice weather.  We're going to try for some yellows on the coast in the morning and then head offshore for the afternoon hunting yellowfin.

Good evening everyone, Today we started off the day in kelp land. Finding many nice kelps along a nice water color break. One in particular held a slew of different game fish. Dorado, Wahoo, Yellowtail, and Tuna. Most of them where on the small side, but it was still great fun catching such a variety of fish. Later on we were able to slide inside and finish off the day with some coastal Yellowtail. It was great ending the day with a nice hit on the Yellowtail. Biting the iron very well, adding to the fall 10 day variety pack. We are pointed north at the moment trying to cover some ground to make it in on time Wednesday morning. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Funny. Right around this time every year I get an itching to fish the Coronados for big island yellows, and when I get an itch I scratch it! Captain Ryan Bostian skippers the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing running to the Coronados everyday, so nobody knows the islands better or fishes its waters more. Itchin' for some fishin' and with friday off I headed down to San Diego and jumped on board with 28 other anglers for a scheduled full day trip to the islands. We were at the Islands and fishing within two hours and it didn't take long before we were hanging and catching some quality fish. Huge bonito, nice calicos and barracuda paced the early action as Captain Ryan moved the San Diego from spot to spot looking for steady action and the elusive island yellows. We found good action throughout the day and starting hanging some yellows as well. Keith Hayashi landed the first yellow of the day on a sardine and we spent the rest of the afternoon picking off nice yellows on both bait and the iron. Big mean mossbacks in the 14 to 23 pound class. Nice fish !!! We ended the day with 9 yellows, 12 calicos, 19 barracuda and 44 bonito. Really nice day of surface fishing for everybody on board. The San Diego leaves every morning at 5:30 out of Seaforth Landing fishing the Coronado Islands. Captain Ryan and his crew will provide you with you're best opportunity to fish the pristine waters around the islands and possibly catch one of the nice mossbacks like we did today. Call the landing at 1-619-224-3383 to get on board today. You can bet I'll be back on board the next time I'm a itchin'. That's the "word on the water" Don. Good evening folks. Here it is, the final day of the Garry Roberts 9-day adventure. How we spent it was waking up first thing in the morning, collapsing/retrieving the sea anchor, and attempting to locate some Yellowfin and Bluefin tuna. It took us a while to get some located and after a jig strike here and a jig strike there, we found a real meaty stop for a mid-morning bite. Along with a ripper Yellowfin bite, we managed a couple handfuls of Dorado, a handful of Bluefin, and we also released two Skipjack, our first of the year. After our busy stop, that was pretty much it and after Chef Barry kicked out his Mahi-Mahi enchiladas, we had to call it a trip and begin the trek back home. Not a bad half day of fishing for us and we're content with out tuna tally for the trip. The weather remains a bit breezy but the consensus amongst the fleet, including us, is that once the weather comes down a bit, the fishing will start to get better. We'll see.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-16-2016 Hello Everyone,Today we boarded our lets talk hook up 4 day trip with Charter Master Dave Dolan leading the group. As we left the bait barge and cleared the point we wasted no time and started to fish. We ended up landing a couple tuna and a nice yellowtail. A nice way to start the trip with a few fish on the board. We are pointed south, in choppy weather in search of bigger and better things tomorrow.Wish us luck,Team Supreme

Nov. 14

We traveled home today. Just one of those perfect rides. It was like we were driving in the bay. Flat calm is what I'm telling you. Just beautiful. The passengers broke down all of their gear in the morning and spent the rest of the day watching movies and taking naps or just chilling outside enjoying the ride while the crew did the end of the year cleaning. Spring cleaning you'd call it only in November. That's right, we have no more trips leaving the rest of the year. It's time for us to do the land thing. Time to get our land legs back, work on our golf games, plan our ski/snowboard trips, work off all the Polaris Supreme meals we took in throughout the year or whatever else it is we do during the off season.

On behalf of myself and the crew we thank O.T.R.'s Lon Mikkelsen and Mr. John Esler and all else who participated this year on their 10 day trip and to all the many anglers who fished with us this year. You guys are what makes our world go round. Without you who knows where we'd be. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
