last minute trip this evening, overcast again. caught one nice bass around 4 lbs right at sunset. used a topwater frog—what a rush seeing it explode! can’t believe how much I love this place, never gets old.
another overcast day but still caught a few smallmouth. nothing huge today, couple 2-3 lbs, but the action was steady on the finesse worms. got to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake. sometimes that’s what it’s all about.
went out today even tho they said rain might pop up. it was a little drizzly at times but still got 4 nice bass, biggest was maybe 5 lbs. used my trusty wacky rigged senko. pretty chill day, always love the feel of that first tug.
OMG the sun was out today and so were the fish! caught a total of 6 smallies between 3-4 lbs. using a square bill crankbait, they were all over it. beautiful day on Lake St Clair, felt like summer finally showed up.
braved the heavy rain again for some bass. got soaked but it was worth it for a 5 lb smallmouth! used a spinnerbait in bright colors. they were aggressive today, really fired up. no one else was crazy enough to be out there
