Lake St Clair Mi Fishing Report

so May 24 was a cloudy kinda day, hit the lake with the crew but fish were not cooperating at all. we tried everything, from crankbaits to live bait. only got a few small rock bass but that’s fishing i guess. just nice to chill with friends on the water. better days to come hopefully!

May 22 had me dodging raindrops! visibility was low but i still managed to catch a small musky by the weed beds. had to use a topwater frog because anything else was getting soaked. not the biggest fish but hey, any catch is a good catch right? felt great to be out despite the drizzle. definitely planning on going back.

man May 20 was rough. cold and overcast, ugh. only caught a couple dinks, nothing worth keeping. tried using worms and jigs but they were not biting much. wind was strong too, really made it hard to fish. packed it up early and just cruised around the lake instead. better luck next time hopefully.

hey everyone! so May 16 was kinda warm and we went out thinking we’d catch something big. we did! hooked into a huge catfish, must have been over 10lbs! used a stink bait, it was gross but worked like a charm. weather was nice too, just a bit of wind. that fish put up a fight! took a picture and released it after. crazy day!

May 12 and wow, the sun was shining bright! took my new baitcaster out for the first time, and it didn't disappoint. caught a couple small mouth bass, around 2lbs each, on some green pumpkin lures. they were hitting hard. love the feel of them pulling on the line, so much fun. definitely going back tomorrow!
