Lake Shabbona Fishing Report

finally a good day! went back to shabbona and it was overcast again but the fish were active. caught 5 bass, biggest was 4 lbs! used a crankbait that was orange and black. really loved the cool weather, made for a great day on the lake!!

fishing was still rough, we went out in the rain and lucked out with a few small bluegill. they were biting lightly. used worms again. kinda frustrating but still had fun with friends. just being out there is nice!

ugh, today was a washout. heavy rain just messed everything up. didn’t catch anything...the wind was nuts too, felt like the boat might tip a couple of times. we left early and just grabbed some pizza. hopefully next time will be better.

so today was tough, man. we braved the wind and caught just a bunch of small perch. nothing over a pound. used worms and little spinners. the overcast made it hard but we kept at it. i need a better spot for bass next time!!

hit the lake again today. caught 1 decent bass about 2 lbs. was super windy, made casting a pain. switched to a heavier lure and that helped. couldn’t stay long tho, the rain started coming down. but hey, a fish is a fish!
