what a day on the 28th! more rain but I was determined. caught a couple nice catfish, biggest was around 7lbs. used a heavy duty rod cause the wind was blowing hard. it was wet and wild, made for quite the adventure! my rain gear held up, and I even enjoyed it, just me, my gear, and nature!
hey everyone, fished on the 23rd! it rained lightly but hey, fish don’t care right? managed to snag a nice bass, about 3lbs. was using a wacky rig, and it worked like a charm! had a blast despite the weather, and met some cool folks out there too. gotta love lake raven!
finally, a day without crazy rain! on the 21st, I got up early, and the sunrise was gorgeous. caught some nice bream on worms. super chill vibes, just my kayak and me. it was nice to see so many people out but I kept to my spots. temps were warm, but the fish still bite! great day on the water.
we hit lake raven again on the 10th. weather was iffy but the rain stayed light. threw out my favorite crankbait and got a surprise! landed a fat 6lb largemouth. took a pic before releasing it back. we were laughing all day! had a comfy setup with my favorite tackle box and snacks too, top day!
rain was still hangin around today. I went out late afternoon after lunch hoping it’d clear up but nah. got a few bites using some soft plastics but only landed one small perch. it was a good excuse to get out of the house tho! gear was on point, but fish were shy. better luck next time I hope!
