Hi all my fishing friends:

We are having a great season. The blue fin have been biting mixed with yellow fin and even a smattering of albacore. I have some great opportunities to get out on the Apollo with me and enjoy the great weather and great fishing that we've been having this season.

We have two two day charters that needs anglers. The first two day trip departs Thursday 9/13 at 9 p.m. fishing Friday 9/14 and Sat. 9/15. This trip is limited to 18 passengers. Cost is $650 per angler and includes food and permits. This is a great opportunity to fish on an ultra limited charter with a great group of people. Please contact Dan H. @ 310.704.1497

Another opportunity to fish aboard the Apollo with us has opened up. This is a 2 day trip that fishes September 27-28 (departing the night of the 26th). This outing is limited to 16 anglers.

The unusual part of this trip is half the anglers will be fly fishers. If you conventional fish, this means you get the stern to yourself as fly rodders like the sideways drift of the boat and stay on the windward side on the bow. Fly rodders are the first in on the slide but based on past averages, conventional will still out-fish us 5 to 1. The trip is 670.00 and includes fishing permit, bunk and food. We have a 5 day trip to Guadalupe that needs 2 people. Cost is $1850.00. This trip departs early morning on the October 1st. Fishing October 1 to 6. Only 11 passengers on this one. Contact, Steve Lee 949 683 7957.

Jodie Morgan called in with this report from the Apollo. "We are starting off with limits of Seabass this morning & 1 beautiful Halibut. You should know that there is beautiful weather as well.

Polaris Supreme Trip Update 09-08-2019 What a sweet ride down we've had beautiful weather! Made good speed and had a nice early arrival this morning into the fishing grounds. Fishing started off tough. Actually it was brutal! You would catch and release 30 skipjack just to catch one keeper yellowfin tuna. We would catch a Wahoo here and there to spice things up but it just wasn't working. Finally after 10 hours of get in all jacked up, AKA skipjack, Things started going our way. It was like somebody flipped a switch! For the next four hours we had a very consistent bite on quality yellowfin tuna ,right into the dark. Our weather stayed great all day and were going to try our luck here again tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

25 bluefin. Managed to keep a couple schools around the boat today and pick at them. A bait fished on 30lb flouro with a size 2-1/0 hook got most of our bites.

New 1.5 Day Limited Load Trip on The Polaris Supreme Trip. The Polaris supreme has a new 1 1/2 day trip scheduled to depart Sunday afternoon at 6 PM fish all day Monday and return Tuesday morning at 6 AM. We still have six spots open and the trip is all inclusive meals Mexican permits etc. We will be targeting the 15 to 30 pound yellowfin tuna that is outside San Diego. This year is my 20th straight season operating a boat at the Coronado Islands. The fishing that is happening right now is the best I have ever seen. Boats from 10 ft to 124 ft all drifting and getting them. Don’t miss out on this amazing display of bio-mass. Please be responsible and only keep what you need.
