wow, what a day! woke up to pouring rain but figured why not? managed to catch 2 small trout, around 1.5lbs each. used my new fly rod, which was fun! even though it was tough going with the rain, still felt good to be out on the lake.
another rain day... *sigh* thought I’d give it a shot anyway. went out for a few hours but got soaked. didn’t catch a thing! just sat there watching the rain come down, might need to wait for a sunnier day to head back.
ugh, today was rough. rain was pretty steady, only managed to catch 1 small perch. gear was all wet and cold, tried some different lures but nothing worked. at least the scenery was nice. might try a different spot next time.
had a lil rain today but went out anyway, looking for bass. caught a couple small ones, around 1lb each, but nothing big. used a spinnerbait. weather was chilly, had to keep moving to stay warm. better luck next time!
cloudy day today at pend oreille, but that didn’t stop us! my dad and i landed 4 rainbows, biggest was 2.5lbs. all caught using worms on a bobber. felt good when we got the first one, kinda slow after that but kept us hopeful. loved it!
