Lake of Woods Fishing Report

another overcast day, but I was determined! hit the water with my buddy. we caught a few perch, nothing huge but they were fun to catch. used a simple drop shot rig and it worked like a charm by the weeds. a bit windy but hey, that's fishing right?

heavy mist and light freezing rain made it tough today. still, I managed to pull in a nice crappie! it was a quiet day, not many bites. just sticking it out with a float and live bait. so glad I went even though the weather was rough. fishin keeps the spirits up!

got out on the lake today, and had to deal with a bit of rain. it was patchy but we still managed to catch a few nice trout. they were hitting on worms mostly. kinda chilly but the fish were worth it. spend time adjusting gear but it was a good day overall.

what a day! sunny and warm, perfect for fishin. hit the lake early with my son, and we caught our limit of walleye by noon! we were using spinners and leeches, really got into it. best part was seeing my boy reel in a nice 24 incher, he was so pumped! went home a happy crew.

overcast skies, but still a decent day on the water. got out at sunrise and fished til noon. caught 5 smallmouths, biggest was around 3 lbs. used my new jig setup, got some good bites near the rocks. was a bit gusty so had to adjust my casting but it worked!
