Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute with this report. "We are finishing off the 1st day of our 2.5 Day Steve Seaver charter. We had a good day with only 18 passengers. We landed limits of Yellowtail with 28 Bluefin tuna. We got 21 of them in the last 10/15 minutes. It looks like the weather will be nicer tomorrow. It was a little breezy today. Good evening everyone, Today we rolled up the beach on our last day of our A.H.I 8 day trip. The charter masters put together an amazing award ceremony with shirts, prizes, and trophies. This was the perfect way to end the trip along with a very nice dinner from chef Mike. Talk about next years trip was already in progress, and these anglers cant't wait to be back. Next year will mark their 25th A.H.I charter. This just goes to show the groups organization and passion for being on the water. This was a very well rounded trip with everything you could ask for, great weather, good fishing and most importantly, everyone had a great time with us. Our ETA is 6:30 tomorrow Until next time, Team supreme

Polaris Supreme returned from the Catchy Tackle open trip with 20 anglers on September 9. The boat docked under skipper Drew Henderson's hand at Fisherman's Landing after visiting Guadalupe, Alijos Rocks and The Ridge. "Gave it the full check today," wrote Drew September 4. "We only got a couple wahoo but it was great action on 20 to 30-pound yellows on the dropper loop and yo-yo iron. Anyone who fly lined a bait could expect to get a dorado; they were from 15 to 40 pound fish. Most were too busy with the yellows." Small tuna were a problem at times, said Henderson. Some nice pink pargo were encountered at Thetis Bank. Paul Adams of Cardiff won first place, for a 73-pound yellowfin. He said he caught that on eon a sardine, 2/0 ringed Super Mutu hook, 60-pound Ande line, a Penn 30 W reel and a Calstar 655 H rod. Bill Zemba of Castaic was second, for a 70-pounder, and Tim Williams of San Clemente won third place for a 69.8-pound tuna. Robert Johns of Kearney, MO stood in with his 38-pound dorado for the lineup shot.

Sept. 14

Umm, hmm. Not sure how today was. Well, we never saw a school of fish today but we did catch fish all day long for the most part. I look over at the chart table at my fish count and it looks pretty good. Just short stops all day long for tuna and dorado. Never drove for too long before stopping the boat on fish so the day wasn't great but it could've been a lot worse. Everyone on board had a great time today and caught there share of fish so I have to say that it was a success. An absolute fun, great group of guys for myself and the crew. My first time with Brad and his group and I have to say they were great. Thanks guys, let's do it again. The weather was fine today. A little breezy but comfortable none the less. We'll be at the dock tomorrow bright and early to make a quick turn around on an 8 day trip.
