Ryan Bostian called in from the San Diego with this report, "We're checking in live from the Coronado Islands, as of noon we have 14 Yellowtail on the boat. These fish are 15 to 25 lbs. They're located in shallow water so we are landing only about 1/2 of what we are hooking. Very good entertainment here this morning on a fly line sardine.

"We have a charter this Friday that has a few open spots. This charter will be departing at 4:00 AM. We are going to have plenty of fishing time on these Yellowtail near Coronado Islands. If you'd like to join us please call Dave at 619-207-7345. Things are starting to shape up at the Coronado Islands. We departed today on Lon Mikkleson's annual, limited load 10-day charter. We loaded up some great looking bait while Pedro prepared a delicious pork tenderloin for lunch. The weather is slick, flat calm and the our anglers and crew both are excited about the upcoming prospects. The passengers are preparing their gear and for dinner Pedro put out a yummy lobster and rack of lamb dinner. We will keep you posted.

Good Morning Everyone, Today was a nice travel day. We mainly rigged all day, preparing for tomorrow. We found a dead Elephant Seal in the middle of some beautiful water, usually a dead animal out there is a beacon for life if its in the correct water. We managed to hook and loose one Dorado, not nearly the volume of fish we are looking for. We will start fishing tomorrow. Will report then, Team Supreme

Captain Ryan Bostian called in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We have been fishing offshore. Today we had 39 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Bluefin Tuna. Our last trip we had 52 Yellowfin Tuna. Most the fish are 15 to 25 pound range. We are starting to see some bigger fish too. Please be sure to have a light rod (20#) and a heavier rod. Be ready to catch fish between 15 and 100 pounds.

Not much to report today. We looked at a lot of water for not much. We found one jumbo school of tuna but it wouldn't bite. After sitting on it for over an hour watching them boil around the boat, everyone lost interest so we continued our hunt. A couple handfuls of dorado and one nice tuna later we decided to give it another chance. It's just to good to pass these beautiful grade fish up when they want to chew like yesterday.

Builder Harold Davis of Davis Boats in Paso Robles was fixing to leave on the Polaris Supreme.
"We're building and selling more diesels in our larger boats these days," he remarked. "We're making more pilot house models, especially. Even down here, it's nice to be able to get in out of the weather. It takes away the cold and the wet." Davis was just back from "Salmon Getaway Weekend,"at Bodega Bay.

The apollo is running a two day charter this weekend and needs two people. The trip is limited to only 20 people and departs on Thurs. night at 9pm and returns on Sat. night around 7pm. The Costello Gang returned with a great catch this morning and we provisioned and departed with out a hitch with Tom chaparro's annual 6 day limited trip. Our bait was excellent and we put it right to use on a fantastic afternoon of tuna fishing.It was Realy Good! We are now idling up swell for dinner in good weather and plan on doing more of the same tomorrow.The Polaris Supreme Crew.
