whoa, what a day! had some thundery weather moving in, wind was like 44 km/h. caught 2 giant catfish but they put up a serious fight. i almost lost my rod! used a heavy duty setup since i was expecting some big pulls. lessons learned!
today was a little iffy with overcast again but we gave it a shot. used my new rod and caught my PB bass at 6 lbs! just couldn't believe it! topwater lures were the secret, they were hungry. made my day!
headed out in the afternoon with some buddies. cloudy skies but we managed to pull a few decent crappies, nothing huge. used jigs with small plastic tails. had some laughs and a good time, best part was chillin at the water.
so i went back yesterday, was a bit cloudy and warm. caught only 2 bass but man they were nice! both were around 4 lbs. used a buzzbait and they just couldn't resist it. loved that thrill!
wow today was just perfect! sunny and warm at 23°C. we hit the water early, fishing from around 7am. caught 5 bass; 3 were over 4 lbs! used a crankbait that had been working wonders lately. just can't get enough of this lake!
