As the temps drop, we are finding the bottom biters are biting at our local spots. Lingcod and Reds with a mix of other great tasting fish. We have been seeing Yellowtail on a daily basis as well. 

Danny Erickson and his daughter with 2 bluefin and a yellowfin. After 8 hours of collecting Vitamin D in choppy seas. We stumbled upon an area and enjoyed some late action.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an audio update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. We have been fishing offshore for about a month now. Just recently we are seeing the fish starting to bite full speed. Today we have a rent rod charter with 100+ Yellowfin Tuna. Be sure to bring your 25 pound outfits and a 40 or 50 too. When the bite really good go heavier.

Good evening friends. We arrived back from John and Ed's family 3-day trip this morning at 0600 and were back out to sea around 1030 hours embarking on our 11th annual Paul Hess 5-day adventure. Paul has brought his usual cast of renegades along with some Polaris Supreme first-timers. We're missing a few of the familiar faces but we'll see you all next year and we'll dedicate this trip towards y'all. Anyhow, the reports are sounding promising a little further south for the fish that get my blood pumping like no other, the Bluefin tuna. So we're motoring on down there and we'll be in the zone sometime in the morning and as for the weather, it's very fair right now and we're liking it.

So that is all. We'll be giving it a go for some tuna fish tomorrow and we'll base our decision for day two when the sun settles below the horizon. We're all a happy bunch. The passengers are well fed and sleepy and with our new subscription to SiriusXM radio, we're a happy crew. Things are just peachy and we'll hit you up tomorrow.

P.S. Special thanks goes to Dave and Sandra. Thank you for the cookies. Drew and I left the passengers with roughly a dozen and the seventy-nine that we ate before dinner were especially delicious. Dave: I miss your hot-white boots and Sandra, I miss identifying birds with you. We'll see you next year.

Happy fourth of July! Well things didn't improve much, just a handful or so, so we are heading back up to finish off our excellent albacore trip with some local fishing. We will be at the dock Thursday morning at 7:30.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we had 30 passengers and we caught 3 Bluefin Tuna, 82 Yellowtail and 30 Bonito. We had very good sign of Bluefin Tuna today.

19 Bluefin Tuna in the 80-120 lb. range. Few openings left this month, get booked now, so you don't miss out.April has 8 openings on if you want to come on that and then we have some open a day and half for the trip.  Good evening friends from the bridge of the Polaris Supreme. I'd like to start with a little recap of the Gary Roberts 9 day trip. What an epic trip! We really did cover all the grounds you cover on a 9 day and boated all the species that we were looking for. Although we didn't get the numbers on the dorado that we were looking for, we more than made up for it in wahoo and tuna counts. I really think Drew did an exceptional job of trip planning with avoinding any bad weather and putting us in position for the best fishing we could possibly have. I don't recall the last time in my 9 years on the boat that we've had that consistant fishing for the "skinny's" as we did. The guys fished hard and were rewared for there efforts. We ended the last couple days of the trip at the tuna grounds to pick up a handful of quality bluefin to settle jackpot and all you could eat beautiful grade of yelloefin tuna from 20-40 lbs. What an awesome 9 day! We really missed you this year Gary and look forward to seeing you back next year with the same group of awesome guys you bring out year after year.
 We also departed this morning on our 6th annual 5 day trip with Robin Gledhill and his Blue-White Industries charter. We are always excited to have these guys out with us. It's quite the unique trip with a special menu, different types of wine every night depending on the dinner all the way to our fancy dinner attire consisting of the classic tuxedo t-shirts! Love it! You never know what Robin is going to bring to the table. We started offshore looking around on the tuna grounds to get the lines wet, didn't find much to start, but fishing the first day of a 5 day is a bonus anyway. Tomorrow at the crack of light and get this party started. The weather looks great so far and looks just as good for the next few days, so let's hope the weather man is telling the truth.
 It's almost that time to head downstairs for some grilled pork chops and the wine of the night Chalk Hill Chardonnay, for the passengers of course. Robin also wants to send a shout out to Janet, Taylor who couldn't join us this year because him and his wife are due to have a little one any day now, and all of the rest of his friends and family that are tuning in over the next 5 days.
 Before I check out though, I do have to mention some day and a half and 2 day tuna trips that we've added here starting at the end of September.
