  We had a very very good day today.  Stoked.  We got in the water we were looking for around nine this morning and it wasn't an hour before we found our first school.  We plunked away for a couple hours and when things slowed down, we got the call from our buddy Brian on the American Angler who was drifting a mile or so upswell of us and he was on the boomer school so we went over and gave him a hand.  About an hour later another boat showed up and we took a break.  I sent everyone in for lunch while myself and the crew got the deck under control and fired up another fish hold.  After lunch we went on the hunt again and found another deal, and then another but by that time most of the anglers were now spectators.  An hour before dark we found another good school and we may have had 5 or 6 people fishing all with a bent rod.  That's what we call a very very good day.

  We're off to Cedros Island.  We'll be there prior to daylight and we hope for some good yellowtail action for the next couple of days.
           

Hello Supreme Fans, Today was our first day of fishing after two days of travel. We spent the morning trolling around for Wahoo which seem to have lock jaw. However the tuna wanted to bite, but they were not the grade we were looking for. So right around lunch time we made a 2 hour move which paid off for us. It was game on! biting Wahoo and tuna until first call for dinner was made. The grade of the Wahoo was excellent many fish were well into the 40 lb range even some pushing the 50 lb mark. What a way to end the day of fishing. We plan to stick around here tomorrow and try for these great quality Wahoo again. Also we still have a few spots available on our next 10 day. Hello friends and a very happy Sunday to all of you back on the beach. We departed Fisherman's Landing around 14:00 hours today on the Joe Beck/Mal Wagstaff 6-day adventure with plenty of familiar faces and a few new ones to spice things up. Our stop at the bait receiver went a little bit better today and although it's not the best bait we've ever seen, it's a lot better than what we loaded up on Tuesday. At this point, we'll take it and we'll be keeping a close eye on their well-being throughout the night.

Other than that, we've been enjoying a nice ride out to the Bluefin grounds and our activities have been pretty standard for a departure day. Rigging tackle, napping, eating, seminars, and catching up with old friends and new ones alike. Chefs Schooler and Shawn just finished up the dinner serving of prime rib, baked potatoes, peas, and sorbet for dessert.With that being said, we're going to cash in for the evening and get ready for tomorrows fishing adventure to begin.

We'll be in the upper end of the Bluefin zone around mid-morning and the scores for the boats in the area were decent. It sounds like that 50-70 lb. BFT was biting a little bit and a few schools of 25-40 lb. fish were around too, so we'll see if we can't get ourselves some of that.

Not too much to report today but hopefully tomorrow is a different story. We'll be at it tomorrow morning and we'll report back to you tomorrow evening. Take care everyone and wish us lots of luck.

We departed today on the Davis Construction annual private charter. This year there are six lucky individuals who were invited to go, with Jim and Gunnar being the new guys. We loaded up at the bait receivers with some excellent bait, and headed down south in beautiful, flat calm weather. Everyone is excited at the prospects that lie ahead. We dined on a great barbecued pork tenderloin for lunch and just enjoyed the company and the smooth ride.

36 pass. 18 yellowfin tuna 2 yellowtail. Spent most of the day trying to get the lay of the land and we like what we see. Please bring a 20lb bait rod and a 40lb bait rod. A colt sniper or popper rod is always a fun tool but certainly not necessary. Size 2 and size 2/0 live bait hooks. A short piece of flouro always helps. No passports required for offshore trips. Captain Ryan Bostian checked in tonight with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA. Today we had limits of Yellowtail and Bonito. The fishing was fantastic. We also caught and released even more fish. The loads are light and the fishing is excellent. Come join us on The San Diego!

Well we started in some traditionally tasty grounds today. The weather was magnificent and so was the water we were in. Warm and a beautiful glassy blue. It was also lively as could be. There were birds buzzing around all over, little dabs of dolphin, big herds of dolphin that were "all birded up"(that's code for "looks right"), a dead animal floating,(known for holding lots of dorado),kelp paddies and floating fishing gear buoys(also known for holding mucho dorado and wahoo). Well none of it was holding !@#$. I'm just bummed about it too. We had this area all to ourselves for 3 days in early September with beautiful weather and fishing conditions and it stunk. I can't sugar coat it. We covered a lot of good looking spots for not much fish. It just wasn't there. If I had a time machine I would go back 5 days ago and do it all over again. We would start above and fish our way down instead of starting below and fishing our way north. At least then my stress level wouldn't be high because we'd have fish in our holds. Fishing would be so easy with a time machine. Maybe I shouldn't write such downer reports but my friend Rob on board says he enjoys reading the good with the bad and you know what, this sort of thing happens. Fishing can be good and it can be bad. Oh well but hey, our trip is only half over, we're going to catch a bunch of yellows tomorrow, get some bait, maybe catch some more yellows and some more bait then go and whip on the tuna. Right? I hope so.

Hi friends. We departed this morning on Paul Hess' annual 5-day adventure with a great load of folks and a good load of bait. This is one of my favorite trips of the year not only for the excellent company but Sandra brought homemade peach/blueberry cobbler for us to munch on. That's what I'm talking about! I'm going on a diet just so be able to eat it whenever I please. We'll see how it goes.

Anyhow, we headed out to an area that one of our spotter plane friends saw sign of that school-sized Bluefins we found 9 schools, they were as boat-shy as they come. We managed to land 28 of those fish up to 25 pounds. We will be in search of the 55 to 75 pound fish. If we were to stay here tomorrow in this upper area, we'd run out of bait with so many short stops.

With that, we're heading further south in search of those beauties that we've been catching the last couple of weeks and we'll be there first thing in the morning. Wish us luck and we'll report back to you tomorrow evening. Take care.
