Lake Grapevine Fishing Report

man, this weather is nuts! heavy rain but went out anyway. caught a couple more cats, biggest was 7 lbs! wind was wild! but hey, every fish feels like a trophy when the conditions are tough. can’t wait for sunny days again.

so today was another downpour! fish were biting like crazy! caught a bunch of channels and even a nice 6lb blue cat. used cut bait and it was just non-stop action! def got soaked but who cares when the fish are on fire!

another rainy day at grapevine but didn’t stop us! landed a few hybrid stripers, all on crankbaits. wind was crazy though, 27kph made casting tricky, but we managed. got a bit wet but the fish were worth it, such a rush when they hit!

we hit the lake again! part cloudy but it was warm, really nice. caught some nice large mouth bass, biggest was about 4 lbs! used a frog lure in the lily pads, they were smashing it! felt awesome to feel the tug, can’t wait to go again.

had a chill day fishing in the overcast weather, caught a few smallmouths but nothing above 2 lbs. used a drop shot rig, kinda slow but still a good time. lake was super calm, perfect for relaxing and just hanging out. love fishing no matter the catch.
