lake evergreen Fishing Report 2024

We have only 5 spots remaining on our June 1-6, 5.5 day trip! This trip is limited to only 18 passengers and is filling quickly!! Trip departs at 6pm May 31st, and returns 6am on June 6th. We will be fishing Cedros and Benitos targeting Yellowtail and calico bass. As well as fishing offshore for those early season bigger bluefin tuna! Ticket cost is $1300 per person. Today was a fun day. The weather is good now but it was crappy yesterday. At first we were getting yellowtail, which the guys released and then we got into some of those nicer grade yellowfin. Up to 60 lbs. or so. The sharks are nauseating. For lunch we had fresh yellowtail in an Italian, caper, Kalamata olive mixture with fresh tomatoes. Dinner was veal Melanesia. Both were yummy. The guys are having a good time. Not much wahoo yet. But we will see what tomorrow brings. Wish us luck! Thanks for tuning in.

30 pass. 12 yellowtail 4 yellowfin tuna 2 dorado. Decent yellowfin sign but they were difficult to hook. Light line and small hook was the best chance. We also managed 2 dorado. Can’t say I have ever seen dorado in 66 degree water but nothing is normal anymore.

Today we we picked at the quality Tuna we have been after. Many successes before the sharks took their share. The fish were on both live bait and chunk bait. It was nice catching them on the chunk because we were able to use big hooks and heavy line. As opposed to small hooks and light line.

Pictured here is a neat looking Pilot Fish. Really cool looking blue fish with black stripes. They hang out with sharks waiting for bits and pieces from a kill to float back to them. Also pictured is a delicious sashimi spread prepared by chef Mike!

Hello everyone, Today we had a hit on the better grade Bluefin Tuna. They were 30-40lbers, beautiful fish. There was also some Yellowtail and Yellowfin mixed in as well. Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to catch some Bluefin to add some variety and size to the fish hold. Will report again later, Team Supreme

  Today was rough.I'm not talking about the fishing.  I'm talking about the weather.  We were expecting this though.  We knew it would be this way so we had plans all along to keep it a down swell day.  We started west and moved east jigging up small tuna.  We expected this as well.  We must of caught 50 tuna this morning but only 10 of them wound up with tags stapled to there gills.  All the rest went back into the ocean to fight another day.  Right before lunch we hit a nice kelp and caught 20 nice yellows.  We thought we were going to string together a few kelps after that but that was the last thing we saw all day long other than a few jig strikes on throw back tunas.  So we're headed to the Island now and we'll be there before daylight.  Wish us luck.

  Good news.  We're getting our Gunny back August 8th.  I miss that well done steak eating man.  If you're reading this Guns, bring another blanket.  I've been using your's aqnd it's been working great.  I've been putting it on top of my blanket though so if you want it back it shouldn't have my cooties on it.
