whoa, torrential rain on May 27! we ended up just chilling on the boat, but got lucky with a few bites here and there. nothing huge but enough to keep us entertained. the thrill of the storm added to the whole experience for sure!
more rain on the 19th, seriously! but I went with a friend, we used some jigs and, man, they were biting! got a nice 6lb bass finally. felt like we were in a scene from a movie, everything wet and wild but the fish were on fire!
May 18 was a washout but we went anyway, had the rain gear ready. fished from the shore, caught a few small bass. felt pretty good despite the weather. you gotta take what the lake gives ya right? hoping better luck next time.
overcast skies on the 14th but honestly I liked it. caught a bunch of bluegill, perfect for baiting my other rods. temps were decent, around 26°C. used a simple bobber setup with worms and it did the trick! fish were hungry, haha.
rain rain go away! well it didn’t. went fishing on the 9th but the rain was a pain. still hooked up two nice bass tho, one was 5lbs! just needed to find the right spots under the trees. best part was just being out on the water.
