Lake Barkley Fishing Report

yeah, not the best day ever. it poured like crazy. only caught a small bass. had to keep changing spots but it was too wet. but hey, sometimes you just gotta be out there even if the fish don’t cooperate. got home soaking wet but still had fun

ok so today was a little gloomy again, but we still went out! caught a few small crappies and one nice channel cat. used nightcrawlers and jigs. windy but managed to find some calm spots to fish. fishin is always better than work right?

finally sun came out! went out in the morning and hit some good spots. ended up with 6 bass, biggest was 5lbs! all on topwater poppers, they were smashing it! perfect weather, felt like summer. just what I needed!

another day on barkley and the weather was pretty chill. bit cooler today but still managed to snag a few decent bluegills. nothing too big but they were fun on light tackle. used my ultralight setup which is always a blast!

went back to barkley again. still overcast, but I had a good feeling. caught 2 solid bass around 3-4lbs using some texas rigged worms. they were hiding in the weeds. took me a while to get them, but it was so much fun!
