Went back to Kiser Lake on May 28, it was misty and super chill. Caught one little perch, but it was pretty quiet overall. Had some deep talks with my buddy while we fished, which was cool too. Not everything’s about the catch, right?
May 14 was just like yesterday, a bit of rain here and there. I decided to try the opposite side of the lake this time and caught a nice 4lb largemouth! Sweet surprise! Patchy rain ain’t gonna stop me from enjoying the lake!
We hit the lake again on May 12, and guess what? More rain! It was moderate and kinda gloomy. I still caught a couple of small bluegill but man, I was not havin' it today. Oh well, sometimes it be like that. Better luck next time!
Finally a sunny day on May 10! Got to the lake early and fished till sunset. Caught 3 nice bass, all around 2-3lbs, on my trusty spinnerbait. Calm winds made it perfect for casting. I was loving life, the sun on my face and fish biting… bliss.
May 7 was way better, the rain held off a bit! I tried out my new crankbait and bam! landed a 6lb pike right by the old pier. The weather was nicer too, just a little drizzle. Couldn’t ask for a better day on the water!
