May 23rd was a bit gloomy, yeah, patchy rain and all. Didn’t catch much at all, just a few tiny fish. But that’s fishing, ya know? Still nice to be out there on Spirit Lake. Pack ur rain gear just in case, ya never know!
Went out on May 17th, and wow it was cold and overcast. Fishing was so slow, barely caught anything. Just one little bluegill, it was kinda disappointing. But hey, at least I enjoyed the peace and quiet out there, just me and nature!
May 14th was super chill, caught two big bass, one was like 5 pounds! Used a spinnerbait in a darker color. The sun was shining bright, but the wind picked up around noon. Still, solid day on the water! Can't beat that!
Had a blast on May 11th, sunny day and caught 5 perch! Used jigs with a chartreuse color, they were biting like crazy! The wind picked up later but didn’t spoil the good vibes. Spirit Lake is so lively, I swear the fish were dancing!
May 9th was sweet for fishing! Partly cloudy and a bit breezy made for a nice afternoon on the lake. I got a couple of 3lb largemouth bass using my new topwater lure and wow, they hit hard! Love the feeling of a good catch, it's a rush!
