Hey everyone! So today was a wet one at ibsp, like it was pouring cats and dogs! But I suited up and hit the water anyway. Got there around 6 AM, right before the sun was supposed to come up but with all the clouds it was hard to tell, lol. Fished with my favorite spinner rod and a black and blue jig. Took a while but finally hooked into something decent. Landed a nice 4 lb pike after a solid fight! The rain made it slippery, but man, that adrenaline rush was worth it. While I was there, a couple of guys next to me caught a few smaller bass but nothing too crazy. I would say the rain might’ve kept some folks away but honestly, I enjoyed the peace out there. Just me, my tunes, and the rain. Overall, not a bad day considering the weather! Can't wait to get back out tomorrow if it clears up a bit. tight lines, y'all!
