Our timing is out of wack. Or the Bluefin's timing is. Yeah, that's it. The Bluefin's timing was out of wack today.

Yesterday it was completely an afternoon thing, so us arriving today at noon was going to be perfect. Unfortunately for us it was a morning thing today.

When we arrived to the grounds most everyone was finishing up there drifts. We found a few kelps and had some good fishing on some descent grade yellowtail's and one of

the kelps had some bluefin on it but it wasn't steady enough action on the tunas so we kept looking. We saw a few schools of it throughout the rest of the day but it wasn't

in a biting mode. We ended up getting a stop late for some and we're currently drifting and will be in the hot zone all day tomorrow. Hopefully it's an all day bite tomorrow.

The weather today was fantastic and we're expecting the same tomorrow. Everyone on board is having a blast and the leader for todays fishing goes to the youngster Vinny.

Every time we stopped the boat today he was hooked up and is making grandpa Brad very proud.

Trip departs June 6th 6pm Returns June 12th 6am

Capt. Ray went out today with 22 passengers. Final fish count for the day is. 1 calico bass 2 sheephead 7 red rock cod. 90 whitefish 110 rockfish. Tomorrows trip looks to have a light load. On January 1st we will shut down for our annual maintenance period.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-03-2019 We scratched out a few nice grade fish today. We had a couple grouper up to 40 pounds and a few hands full of 25 to 40 pound yellowtail. We have some great pictures of them but we were unable to upload them to the computer from our photo apparatus. We'll work on that and try to get you those pictures tomorrow. The weather and food is great and were hoping for a big hit tonight. I almost forgot we had two really nice 60 pound Wahoo to go with it. Be looking for their buddies tomorrow! Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-06-2016 Hello everyone our morning started off with something different around the boat as we started our day of fishing for the bluefin tuna. What was it? Squid!! And yes we scooped up some to use for bait. sure enough we put it to good use with our first bluefin tuna of the morning being hooded on it. With live squid and sardines we did well today. Like Art Gutierrez landing a bluefin tuna over 90 pounds after a long and hard battle. most of the fish were 60-90 pounds. And yes we did have several heartbreaks which is part of the game with fish of this size. But we did land our fair share today. Great fishing all around. Wish us well as tomorrow is our last day of fishing. Enjoy the pictures!! The Supreme Team

Very good sign of yellowtail today. Unfortunately they were extremely difficult to hook. 21 yellowtail, 45 rockfish, 1 halibut. Fish were hooked on all the popular techniques.

Aug. 19
    Let me explain to you readers why I had such a great day today.  I am in a great mood and here's why.  It all starts at the bait receivers.  I lifted up the lid for the bait and I saw great bait and alot of them in the box.  Then we netted it and it still looked great and after it was in our tanks it still looked great!  It was schooled up and hanging low in the tank looking healthy.  The best part is we got three boxes of it and for the first time for a while, with the mackerel myself and the crew caught this morning, we have a full load of bait on board.  Now we're not totally in the clear yet.  The bait had only been in the receiver for a day so it had no time to cure and that's always concerning.  It also lost some of it's protective scales as we loaded it so there is a danger of it getting sick but so far so good.  We'll know more in the morning.  For the first time in 3 nights we're not running in to fish for bait all night so we get to sleep.  Stoked.  

    The other reason I had such a good day is the good day we had today.  Our timing was great.  I think it started around 4:00.  Our first stop of the afternoon was a good one.  We landed about 50 of those mostly 20-25 pound yellowfin.  After that we went from stop to stop catching anywhere from 5-20 of those beauts.  We had one heck of a departure day and those fish were free.  Stoked.  Oh yeah, the crew and I had a nap today before we got to the grounds and we felt rested and great.  Now I'm showered and am going to go eat dinner.  Stoked.
