cloudy day on May 23rd made for some good fishing. i got skunked but my buddy caught a couple channel cats. tried everything but nothing was biting for me. gonna change my tactics next time! maybe late evening is better with this weather.
May 20 was a mixed bag at guntersville! rained on and off but I got lucky. caught a 5 lb bass on a crankbait! windy and wet but worth it. also saw a bunch of turtles, felt like a nature walk lol. planning to go out again soon!
fished guntersville on the 19th. weather was a lot better, a bit patchy but warm! hooked into 5 nice largemouths, all around 2-3 lbs. flipped some soft plastics into the grass. super fun day, even managed to sneak in a sunburn!
went fishing on May 12th! it rained but the bass were hungry! caught 4 decent ones, biggest was about 4 lbs. used dark green worms off the shore. i was soaked but super pumped! love guntersville even in the rain!!
May 10 report from guntersville... damn wind was strong and the rain was non stop. only managed to catch a couple small bass. i was throwing a spinnerbait but they just weren’t into it today. weather totally messed up the bite. gonna try again when it clears up.
