Good morning everyone, Today we fished our final day of our Bogart 2 day trip. It was a day of grinding it out in the Bluefin Tuna grounds. There was a lot of tuna around it was just very finicky and we had trouble getting it to bite. We were able to land one tuna for the entire day. What saved our bacon was the yellowtail fishing. We fished yellows the second half of the day for great quality yellows! Biggest being 48lbs! We are in tomorrow early at 5 am, and out for seven! Wish us luck, Team supreme

49 yellowfin 48 skipjack. Didn’t find the right school until we were out of time, and daylight.

211 yellowfin 2 bluefin out of one 5 mile drift. Hook size is crucial in getting bites. Match the hook size to your line size and bait. Check with the crew on the way out to make sure what you’re tying on is what we recommend.

Covered a lot of water for 6 yellowtail. Saw both bluefin and yellowfin but we’re unable to connect. Getting the lay of the land and putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Back at it tomorrow.

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP UPDATE 09-27-2020 We had a good day scratching at small grade Yellows and Tuna with a few grouper thrown in. We are off to look for premium Yellowtail tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Captain Mike Pritchard called in this morning at 9:27 AM with the update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We are off to a great start. Very good Bluefin Tuna fishing. We have 15 Bluefin Tuna and 1 Yellowfin Tuna (about 40 pounds). We have a very light load of only 9 anglers. We need 3 more Bluefin for out limit. Hello everyone We just wrapped up another successful Simpatico five day charter put on by Vernon Burke. A great group of anglers who know how to fish hard and have fun on their five days of fishing vacation! It was a great trip this five day, we committed to big fish as opposed to big numbers. Some nice bluefin in the 60-90 lb class, the fish that were caught were the biggest these gentlemen have ever caught in their lives. The triumphs and defeats were spread pretty evenly but everyone had their chance at several quality Blufin of a lifetime! The season's fourth 300-pound tuna arrived November 29 aboard Polaris Supreme with owner-skipper Tom Rothery at the helm as the 90-footer docked at Fisherman's Landing. The trip was 13 days for the boat and ten for the anglers who flew home from Cabo, and was sponsored by Rothery's partner Tom Pfleger, who heads PIER (Pfleger Institute of Environmental Research). A small group of 14 anglers including Pfleger was aboard.
