Today we covered over yesterday’s hot zone and beyond to only locate one school. Ended the with 2 yellowtail, a round of bonito and plenty of bottom fish. Hopeful the yellowtail are ready to eat tomorrow after today’s hiatus.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in this morning at 10:25 with an update from the Coronado Islands. The Yo Yo Jig is the ticket. There are two school of fish out here today and we are catching the bigger models. We have 35 fish maybe up to 40 by now. Here is a good look at one of today’s schools doing its best to look like a ball of bait. Our Evringham bros. sardines were too much for them to handle and the frenzy was on. 75 yellowtail. 25 calico bass. 23 Barracuda. Very good surface action.

Sunday, September 30th, 2012 -- Departure report.

Hi friends. We departed at 1800 hours on yet another 1.5 -day trip. After last trips bait, I was deathly concerned about what type of load we were going to get and to all of our surprise, we received a healthy and plentiful load of bait. We'll see how it fares throughout the night into tomorrow but for now, I'm pleased with those little critters. Hopefully, we put them to good use tomorrow.

For tomorrow, we'll be hitting the local grounds to try our hand a little closer to home. I'm excited about the prospects of finding something decent but I'm more excited about our weather outlook. Our program is showing five knots or less for the morning and afternoon so we're hoping the weatherman calls it right and Mama Nature gives us a break from yesterdays beating.

Anyhow, we're munchin' on some prime rib and getting our tackle put together. We'll be looking for a school in the dark to shut down on and we'll take things from there. Wish us luck and we'll chat with you tomorrow.

25 pass. 17 bluefin 16 yellowfin. Most bluefin were 30-50lbs. The savvy angler would bring a 20lb rod and a 30-40lb rod with assortment of hooks from size 4-2/0. We are very light on reservations all next week. Call 619-224-3383 and make those resos. Bluefin is way better than turkey for Thanksgiving.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in tonight with an update from the San Diego. Today we had 35 anglers catch 9 Bluefin Tuna and 1 Yellowfin Tuna. We are going to stick with offshore fishing thru at least Saturday. We are keeping close tabs on the Coronado Islands but as of today the islands have been slow. Tuna fishing has been far from wide open but we believe the potential for a big hit is there. Fishing changes very fast. Don’t be a part of the “Day after” crowd. Pick a day, Pick a boat and go. No Passports required for offshore fishing.

Capt Mike Pritchard from the Tribute called in with another great fishing report, they have 90 Mixed Tuna 18 - 40 lbs and 35 Yellowtail. We still have lots of daylight left and are looking for more, we do some room on upcoming trips. Polaris Supreme Trip Update 08-05-2019 Today started off great. We had a nice little night bite on yellowtail and picked up a few white Seabass to go with it. The quality yellowtail is gorgeous! After daylight things pick back up and we had great fishing all way through midday. Half of the fish was 25 to 30 pound range yellowtail. Although a little windy at times our weather was pretty good all day. Definitely going to give this a try again tonight and tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!
