What a delicious meal whipped up by Chef Roger and galleyman Gringo! Simply outstanding!

Just what we had hoped for! We had a really fun day on some of the bigger grade yellowfin. We landed nine fish over 100 pounds. Charlie got one at 213 lbs. and Gunnar, one of our first timers got the biggest one for the day that weighed in at 230 lbs. He did it all by himself from start to finish. And by the way, he is only eleven years old. He also landed another one that was well over 100 lbs. Our weather is fantastic. Dinner was incredible. Pedro laid out another killer sashimi and sushi appetizer and followed up with a dinner of fresh yellowtail with a Chardonnay, lemon, shallot sauce. Richie said it was probably the best fish dish he has ever had. We are hoping for another fun day tomorrow. Wish us luck. Thanks for checking in.

The tuna have been popping up quickly in violent “formers”.

The angler who are able to get a quick cast into the chaos have been the most productive ones! 

The trip out now has tuna ranging in size from 30-115 lbs! 

Hopefully they start biting as good as they show.

Had a few bites but we’re only able to land one 70 lb bluefin. Today’s results have zero influence on tomorrow. Extremely light loads all week. Call Seaforth at 619-224-3383

So far this year we have had absolutely phenomenal yellowtail fishing as well as a better chance than ever, in the history of Southern California to catch a bluefin over 200lbs! We are excited to announce we have multiple openings on trips that will be targeting these big grade of yellowtail, nice yellowfin and trophy size bluefin! Wow, what a frustrating day. Great signs, many schools, but not one that wanted to bite real good. A couple of the boats did ok, so there are still some fish that wanted to bite. Just not the ones under us. On an up note, Jim landed one that is right on the fence at 199 lbs. Our weather is still beautiful, and Pedro is still putting out great food like the veal shank we had tonight. We are optimistic that our luck will change tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

Today was greatly disappointing after such a great fishing yesterday. Our efforts for better quality fish did not pay off. We saw great signs of 80-100 lb. fish but they just didn't want to cooperate. They would boil up good and look promising, but we only got a handful of fish. We are going to leave this place and give it time to straighten out. We are going to look for a new area. Our weather is still absolutely premium. Warm, hot and balmy. Thanks for checking in.
