This past week was all about yellowtail and warm water. 40 - 115 yellowtail per trip with a sprinkling of dorado sums up the past week. I attached a photo of the terrafin chart for our area to show you guys all the warm water. Anything over 70 degrees is considered warm and as you can tell we have plenty of it. As a matter of fact finding the cooler water has actually been the key to catching these yellowtail. The most common question this week was "when are the yellowfin going to show up". While I don't have a crystal ball to tell you exactly when they are going to show up. I can tell you that they have made a major northern movement over the past week and there has been yellowfin tuna caught as close as 60 miles. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-23 and 24-2016
We don't have much to report for the last two days just travel days with a tad bit of fishing. We caught one halibut, we had great weather, we ate a bunch of good food, took a bunch of naps, broke down our tackle, and tomorrow morning we're going to be into San Diego at 730 and unload a beautiful catch of Wahoo yellowtail and yellowfin tuna! Thanks for tuning in this trip we will be leaving tomorrow afternoon at 6 PM on a 1 1/2 day trip fishing on Monday. Check the fisherman's Landing website if you would like to join us I think we still have a couple of openings.

Hello Everyone,
Today was a great day on the tuna grounds. We had an un-real sun downer bite on Bluefin Tuna in the 40 lb range. Complete chaos, an absolute ripper on fly lined sardine, until the sun went down. Once darkness settled in, it turned into a Flat fall ripper. Landing the Tuna on the jigs was was much nicer on the heavy gear. In addition to the Bluefin we landed 2 50 lb Yellowfin Tuna. Great grade fish.
Excellent day on an excellent charter.

Captain Aliyar called in with us today from the Polaris Supreme:
We are on our way home after a 1.5 Day with excellent Bluefin fishing. We have limits of Bluefin Tuna up to 115 pounds with the majority in the 40-50 pound range. We had a stop last night in the dark and caught 30 Bluefin with the flat falls.
We have a bunch of 1.5 Day trips and 3 Day trips open for April.
Next open party trip departs on Sunday, April 11th at 7PM for a 1.5 Day trip.

Hello there Polaris Supreme fans,
Today was another travel day for us, this morning we had or seminar on fishing for giant YFT. The crew went over fly lining, big bait , jig fishing, sinker rig, and kite fishing. We also handed out all the loaner gear and the guys started rigging up. Around 1600 we made a drive by the Rocks and found two 25 lb YFT willing to bite the jigs now we have fresh tuna for tomorrow nights dinner! Speaking of dinner its about time for me to go get ready for dinner so until tomorrow tight lines!!
