👤 Mike D.wow what a day at douglaston! heavy rain made it a bit rough but the fish were biting like crazy. i got there around sunrise, which was at 5:25 am, and within an hour had my first salmon on the line. it felt like a monster! ended up with 3 nice ones, biggest was about 8lbs. used a pink yarn fly, never thought it would work so well in all this rain. wind was chill too, barely picked up. yeah, i got soaked but who cares when you’re catching fish, right? can’t wait to go back, maybe even tomorrow if the weather holds up! tight lines everyone!
