cpw Fishing Report 2024

Well, we had a great day today. Everybody had a blast fishing lots 60 -100 lb. tuna. Pat Jaeger landed a 195 and a 213 pounder. Chuegy pulled in a 225 pounder. There were a couple more around 165 or so. We did stop at lunch for a delicious pork shank with spiced white beans and saffron pilaf. It was really good. And our weather is also good. So another wonderful day out here. Look at our schedule and find a trip that will work in your schedule and come out and have some fun.

July 30

It wasn't a float day today. We had some action spread out through the day though. We got about 3 a round on the elusive Bluefins and did plenty of pulling and tugging on yellow tails. The weather was once again spectacular and we're expecting some pretty good weather tomorrow as well. Not as perfect as the last couple of days but still good. We'll be doing this again tomorrow and if the bf's stay on the same schedule it should be a float day. We'll see and you'll read. See you then.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-24-2016 As reported yesterday it was a very tough day fishing. We spent the whole day stopping on spot after spot after spot. It got to a point where I thought maybe the passengers didn't think we were really seen fish. One of the things we noticed was where the yellowfin tuna was hanging out, even though it didn't bite It Turns out it was good Intel for today. It did pay off this morning, we ended up shutting down right at daylight on a really nice school that stuck with this until after lunchtime. The grade of fish was 35 to 80 pounds. We hung with it for about another two hours and it just wouldn't bite. After about three hours of searching we finally found where the fish had moved to while we were drifting all morning. We were rewarded with another afternoon bite equal to what we caught in the morning we ended up with a fantastic day of quality, I say quality yellowfin tuna. We also had in the mix by half a dozen nice grade bluefin tuna. We are heading in and going to drop off our Joe Beck charter and pick up Beverly and her group. Today we were able to get in on some great Tuna and Dorado action. Mostly smaller Tuna, but the Dorado were all great grade! We will be focusing on Yellowtail tomorrow. Pictured here we have young Colt showing off his big Dorado! Also pictured is Mike and Braxtson with their beautiful Dorado!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 06-29 to 30-2016 Hi guys, sorry for the lack of a report yesterday. Yesterday was a tough day caused by the conditions and, especially the sea lions. On the other-hand, today is a hell of a lot better day. We have been steadily picking away at a phenomenal grade of yellowtail all day long. The yellows are eating anything from fly-line sardine and dropper-loop to the surface iron and yoyo jigs. Many people caught their limits today. As far as the plan for tomorrow, we will be trying something different. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

Oct. 13

Well we struck out on the bluefin today. It wasn't a called third strike, I mean we went down swinging but they definitely beat us today. We saw one good school in the dark hours of the a.m. that didn't stick and then found one deal that didn't react all that bitchen after daylight. We only landed five but they were beautiful fish. 35-50 pounders. Our afternoon was spent traveling down. We left that zone after lunch because we didn't have high hopes for the afternoon based on what we and the other boats had seen.

Our weather was good today. Cold, but not a whole lot of wind. We're going to be fishing for yellowfin tuna tomorrow at first light. They'll be a few of us looking around there so hopefully we get them located early.

 

In other news Mark tried to tell me that Steve Nash was as tall as he was and I called him out on it, bet him 20 dollars in which he agreed upon, and then I had to call my lovely wife to get her to Google it. I was right, he's 6'3" and now I'm 20 dollars richer. Here's the thing though, I spent almost 20 dollars in the phone call to win that bet so was it worth it? Absolutely. I would gladly spend more money then I'd win against Mark, he's fat, just to prove my point and make him 20 dollars less rich.
