May 23rd - another overcast day, went out for a few hours. caught a bunch of smallmouths on topwater lures. was just fun watching those fish chase it down! not a huge haul but made for a fun afternoon.
May 21st - a bit chilly again! only managed to pull in a few small perch. weather was mean with wind n rain comin in, but it was nice to be out on the water. didn’t give up, just one of those days, u know?
May 14th - overcast but warm! went out with my dad and we caught 10 decent walleye, all between 3-4lbs. drifted with live bait and it was on! weather's finally turning, love this time of year. can’t wait for more!
May 5th - what a beautiful sunny day! finally! hit the water early and got lucky with 3 nice pike on crankbaits. got some nice pics too! the temps were cool but the sun made it perfect, just wish every day could be like this.
May 3rd - went back out after those patchy rains, caught a decent 5lb bass! used my favorite plastic worm, black/blue. weather was a bit calmer than yesterday, but still cold! felt good to finally hook something nice.
